Methinks A younger Ryuuken met Isshin a long time ago, before Ichigo and Uryuu were ever born, and I don't Believe Isshin truely fled from the Seireitei, according to the Bleach wiki, His Zanpakutou is Named "Engestu" or "Scathing Moon" which also has the same ability that Ichigo's "Zangetsu" or "Slaying Moon" has the "Getsuga Tenshou" or "Moon Fang Heaven Peircer" which I believe Isshin Once was Able to Use the Final Getsuga at one point and had no choice either, thus he merely lost his soul Reaping Powers for a long Period of time, so He Inhabited a Gigai, then he fell in love with Misaki and they got married and had kids, Ichigo, Yuzu And Karin, I Believe some of the residual Shinigami power was Inside Ichigo and it gained in strength as he Grew, which was the main source of his ability to see spirits,
