Description
This is literally how a lot of people have reacted towards the back lining on Thomas's bunker hahaaPart of me secretly kinda wishes they only used it in 'The Adventure Begins' though, I dunno, probably just to keep it as an old series feature.

I think in Season 3 (or 4) they got rid of it on the model, and they kept Thomas's bunker without the lining from then on until now

why did they do that?, lazy on detail or the thought that the audience may not be seeing the back of thomas often?

I thought the bunker looked a little plain without it, personally, though I wonder why James's tender hadΒ similar liningΒ in "The Adventure Begins"? Makes me wonder.

Maybe they thought the black tender looked a little boring without lining. Glad they didn't add black lining then to the red tender

tbf though he does look better with the back lining, classic or not, only reason my bachmann thomas has them is because i feel it looks better

Yeah definetly, I'm not denying that, heck part of me wishes Hornby had done the same

Hornby used to have the lining but then stopped it for some reason.
