This waterfalls is located in the western part of Indiana off US 231. The Upper Cataract Falls is located about a mile upstream where a covered bridge crosses.Related content

When is the best time of year to visit this place? It's about two hours from me whether I'm in Indy or Lafayette and I haven't gotten around to seeing it yet even though I go to Turkey run about once a month.

You want to consider whether water is flowing or not. The fall, the leaves are usually beautiful unless we have been in a drought. Beautiful when covered in snow. Beautiful in spring, without rain or large amounts of snow there is little water flow. Consider that. There is a covered bridge at the upper falls.
Take 231 south of I-70 to N.Cataract Rd make a right and it will take you right to it. I hope you enjoy. I live in Indy and it is about 70 minutes give or take.

Alright I will have to check it out then sometime. I will probably wait till more October. I haven't had much time to myself and exams are coming up but I'm sure I'll need a nature break sometime soon.

The upper falls is much deeper but not much to photograph without any water. So I will go back for that one.
