"Detective Thursday here, request permission to enter headquarters by the front door."A no-prize to any who can remember this TaleSpin one shot character. It's a pity we never saw this ace detective in more than one episode. "Vowel play" was one of my favorite episodes, if for no other reason than, as a child, I could sympathize with Baloo in the spelling department. ^_^

As someone who could never spell worth a darn in school, I always loved "Vowel Play" because I could completely sympathize with poor Kit. Thursday and his brim hat, no-nonsense attitude and "secret entrance" quirk was the icing on the cake!

I can definitely see the cultural reference there, particularly when Thursday interrogates Baloo! Name aside, both characters have that quick-paced "tough cop" attitude when it comes to getting answers.

It's funny you bring this up. I just got through watching "Vowel Play" on the TaleSpin DVD when I saw this. I gotta fave this. This is such an awesomeage rendition of Dective Thursday! Superfabuloso work, Milady She-Wolf!!!
