well.. Might may have dissapeared because while the game and comic canons are seperate.. they do mirror a few places when possible
Amy's an example, she looks older since SA1, why? noone knows why she randoly got several years older and noone else did, so we presume they borrowed comic canon and Amy found a wish granting ring with 1 wish in it and used it to make herself older so she'd be more attractive to Sonic
if you use logic like that it's easy to explain why Mighty never appears anymore at least.. though the reason is significantly darker, seeing as Knuckles kinda killed him....very...very...slowly

different universes will of course have different logic, but there is some logic to it.
very strange logic considering a man with an IQ of 300 (500 in some games apparently) can't overcome a superspeed hedgehog, but logic exsists none the less

What you're describing is called canon, not logic.
Even then, the Sonic verse has so many different canons, trying to apply one to the other isn't reasonable. For example, addressing your original claim, Amy's aging up in SA1 was merely because the developers thought it would cater to a wider demographic, not because they wanted to use comic canon. How could they, when the issue where she ages up wasn't published until a year after the video game was released?
I don't claim to know why Mighty doesn't make appearances in the video games anymore, but I can say with confidence that it says nothing about what's become of him plot-wise. The reason is most likely the same reason other retired characters no longer appear, such as Fang, Bean, Bark, etc.

eh, i like giving an explanation when none is present, alot of people borrow archie comic explanations for game unvierse canon mysteries, Blaze has such a similar story in the game to the canon that it makes sense to infer what we don't see still happened anyway.
and if you are curious, according to the comics Knuckles kills Mighty, i dunno why though.
anyway, no logic in sonic huh? you see a robot, who made it? obviously either Tails or Eggman, and more than likely Eggman. Sounds like logic to me.

actually, Tails apparently had near-eggman levels of intelligence since his first appearances and likes messing with machines, He made the new verson of the Tornado which turns into a robot and has made robots in just about everything but the main games, and he had a robot he made in his own game way back when (Tails adventure).
I can understand people not caring, i just care enough to guess and fill in the blanks, plus i write fanfiction stuff too so figureing out the blanks let's me either make a better fanfiction or find a nice place to put one. Still everything has logic, even completly illogical things like "a world of pure chaos" would have logic.

I think we're using the term "logic" in completely different ways. I'm referring to valid reasoning, and you to reasonable and consistent canon. Fair enough.
All the same, I won't let you tell me a fictional event taking place in one of the many Sonic canons explains why Mighty no longer makes game appearances. I find it silly. But it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, and I'm not trying to stop you from creating theories that you see fit.

eh, well the nonfictional explanation to branch from that would be "he's dead.. can't put him in the series", then again they could just say he never died, who knows?
i ahve fun making theories like that, i spent forever trying to decipher a timeline for the legend of Zelda games before an offical timeline was recently released... man i hate where they put some of my favorite games on that timeline...

"He's dead" is still fictional--it's not like Mighty's was walking around irl to begin with, he's not real 
I have to agree with you there, I prefer it when franchises don't try to make complete chronological sense of their stories or really stretch things in order to make different canons seem as if they fit together. It tickles the imagination more when things aren't quite explained~

i enjoy a well-written story, and i think the sonic storyline was fairly well written for a game storyline about a random superspeed hegdehog.
and well, when a character's dead you don't bring them back into the series without explaining why they ain't dead, granted they have lots of BS to explain that away but i think SEGA just doesn't care about Mighty enough
