Is this inspired by Ancient Egyptian art, by any chance? The design of the creature really reminds me of some of those ancient drawings! Also, the wings and the legs look really awesome. I dig the details in the feathers and scaliness of the legs, and especially all the little swirly bits. It looks good, and it's not TOO detailed - it's just the right level to look awesome without being clustered up.

Woah, I kinda see what you mean about the Egyptian thing... how weird! Actually ~Spatty designed the basic idea of these guys (the body shape), I just elaborated on the neck shape and the leg/wing details haha. So who knows where she got her inspiration!
I'm really glad about what you said, with the details looking cool but not too cluttered. That's something I was worried about when I was doing this, so I tried to make things as simple as I could (especially with the wings... I didn't want them just be a lazy wing-like shape, but I didn't want them to be fully rendered masterpieces either lol).

Oh, oh! I remember this creature from long ago, it was one of my favourites. Looks rather "godly", with the massive styled wings, combined with its colour.

I know I can't draw correct wings well! They're hard cuz you have to be so anatomically precise, or else they look absolutely lame.

Yeah wings take a lot of time. I always try the simplest ones. I think the hardest thing is figuring out where to put them (if I draw them on a person.) I like the way you draw wings and I think you draw them well in my opinion.
