Dug through old folders to find a comic template I created and found this.I can't believe this is over 2 years old?? Didn't realize it's been so long since I drew this Sonic n Mighty stuff.
Anyway, I remember wanting to see if I could make character's heights/proportions unique, so I whipped up Knuckles, Tails, and Ray.

Abnormality and spazzing out aside this is great, I think you did a fairly good job on making each characters heights and proportions unique to them.

I just can't get enough of this style. You pulled it off so well!
I was always stumped on how to draw Sonic facing forward. Having his spikes go directly behind him looks odd; drawing them to the side looks so much better.
My favorites in this are Mighty and Tails. I love how Mighty looks like an inverted triangle and how Tails is shorter than everyone else, like he was in promotional art. I also really dig Ray's color scheme.

I didn't come up with flaring Sonic's spikes at an angle from the front view, I got that from Sonic CD!
You're right... Mighty IS an inverted triangle here! Didn't even realize haha. Glad you like Tails' height too, I wanted to keep that aspect cuz he's just so darned adorable being so small!

I've always liked Tails' height, but I have trouble portraying it. For some reason, when I draw him, he doesn't look much shorter than Sonic.

It's pretty hard to draw a character much shorter than Sonic... I mean his proportions are so short to begin with! I know what you mean
