Description
Language barriers contribute quite a bit to the plot. ~Spatty and I wanted them to be visually believable without killing ourselves over making them legitimate languages, so they all conveniently use the English alphabet. Also, we've made it possible for people to decipher the languages if they really want to, by making the symbols somewhat similar to the English letters, after some flipping around.I'm a bit worried about Danan though, since I referenced Sanskrit symbols more heavily than I originally intended.

It's just necessary sometimes! I usually get annoyed when people invent languages because they throw them in there without any rhyme or reason or thought as to what role it should play in the story. But I really enjoy it when it's thought out and believable, without intruding too much.

I find it quite fun to play with don't you? And you can express how a culture is different by the different way in which they use words.

lol! Haha, I had actually started a language a long time ago for the hasho, but the story idea was way different then... But yeah, it was fun, but too much work.

The story will be told visually (in comic form) so our goal is to make the languages visually convincing--the reader will be unable to "hear" how the languages sound, just observe how foreign they appear
