I finally found the time to recreate my autism stamp and improve the colours, with that in mind I wanted to share an important message to everyone afflicted with any condition.People who claim to be ''proud'' to have any form of autism make me cringe because honestly, there is nothing to be proud of. If I had AIDS I wouldn't go around saying how amazing it is to have AIDS and be boastful about it.
On the contrary there also isn't any reason to be ashamed of having a condition. It just happened, you were born that way, got into an accident, maybe got it from someone else. Either way it was not your fault or your choice, it just happened and the truth doesn't care about anyone's feelings.
What is truly commendable however, is how you deal with the condition in your life. How you struggle and fight, perhaps race against your own unjustified feelings of shame and conquer them.
That is something you can be truly proud of and no one can ever take that away from you.

I've heard that the puzzle piece symbolism is actually a bit insulting to autistic people since it was created by autism speaks, who are not autistic people and have been known to say degrading things about autistic people and often silence them too. I don't know if you knew that before but it might be important to consider in this case.

That is the first time I am hearing this. I choose that background because in my country there is no Autism Speaks, we have the Vereniging voor autisme.
I have heard that Autism Speaks seeks to cure autism, which in itself is not a bad thing necessarily, but that they also do not care about improving the lives of those affected by autism. In my country, the Vereniging voor autisme is not concerned with curing autism but rather seeks the strengths of autistic people and helps them achieve their potential. The puzzle logo is also used by the Vereniging voor autisme and very recognizable, hence I decided to use it.
The other reason is that I just really like the colours with that pattern as it makes my stamp stand out.
I would like to refrain from using rainbows as that is reserved for a whole different kind of topic.

Yeah they want to cure autism rather than help people who have it, and they treat autism like a burden, so that sucks, but I guess it is silly of me to assume that every country has the same issues with autism speaks as we do here.
