THIS KICKS ROYAL ASS!!! terrific rendering! I think the FANG should've had a canopy/roll cage too!

Thanks! Like many of my models, the FANG model has had further necessary updates since this was submitted to deviantArt. Once I got it into a game environment with moving soldiers, I realized it needed taller landing skids to prevent heads getting chopped off by the rotor blades. I also rounded off the nose and hashed out the dash instruments. It looks even better than this does, now, yet it still embodies the FANG essence.

Awesome! I still have this toy and i also have a .3ds model of the fang left over from a MOD that HASBRO told us to stop doing, sigh.

Oh you were part of the BF1942 mod. I have a 3D one I did from a UT2004 mod. I heard about what Hasbro did to that mod and just silently made my vehicles below radar.

Very cool! I actually still have my FANG from the original run with all of the missiles and bomb!

Thanks CDL113!

I have the 25th Anniversary one now, but I did have the original. I wonder how people are liking the added glass, extra length, and missiles relocated to new missile wings.

That I couldn't tell you. I have only picked up a few of the new Joe figures myself (just my faves), and my friends that got them as kids like me that are getting them now as adults, are pretty much sticking to buying just the figures too.

OH!!!! My bad, I thought you were talking about the physical toy. I think it looks cool my self. It never made any sense to have the rockets on the landing skids in the first place on the original version. And the addition of a bullet resistant-canopy by you is brilliant. Otherwise the pilot is a sitting target for ANY stray round that comes by!
