Description
The GI Joe VAMP - a high speed, multi-purpose attack vehicle. This is the most common configuration. It features a dual M2 weapon system, which is aimed via a passenger side laser-guided control device. The design is based on the Lamborghini Cheetah, modified to keep the styling and functional essence of the VAMP from 1982.
**Updated 09 April 2013**
Dropped ride height by about 2 inches (5.00 cm). Added geometric and texture detail to the gun and controller. Added grunge textures all over body. Moved vehicle antennae to the top of the trunk/boot. Used my updated gerrycan model for water cans in the rear.
Model created in 3D Studio Max 2010; textured in Photoshop CS4. Image treated in Photoshop CS4.
GI Joe and Cobra belong to Hasbro.

This is awesome. I've been a VAMP fan from the beginning (VAMP, RAM and APC are tied for first place).

Thanks! It's the classic GI Joe vehicle, like the HMMWV or the Willy's Jeep is for the "regular" US Military.
Here's some RAM goodness for ya:
RAM (WIP)
No APC yet, but I do have a few other vehicle pics in my Scraps section.

Thanks for all your favs and comments! I agree about the Cheetah, and it seems to make it more balanced as a FAV-GP (fast attack vehicle - general purpose) hybrid.

Thanks! And I agree about the explosion. I would do that to all of these. Realistic like the models, or drawn in like the old box art?

i was thinking of the box art explosion, but a realistic one could be cool now that you mention it.
