It seems I'm mistaken once again. Wyldstyle X Emmet and Jessie X Buzz are not the only canon couples I ship; WALL-E x EVE is also a canon couple I ship. It's so rare to see robots in romantic relationships, and often it's between a human and a robot, not two robots. WALL-E and EVE are the only couple I can think of between two robots. I also love how well their relationship was developed throughout the movie, especially with the limited dialogue.
One of my favorite scenes from WALL-E is when WALL-E is showing EVE his treasure collection. It's so cute to see how impressed the two of them are with common objects like a lightbulb, bubble wrap, or an eggbeater. I thought it would be cute to draw WALL-E showing EVE the ring box he found as if he were proposing to her. I think she'd respond the same way he did, by seeing how it opens and shuts.
