The prompt for Day 2 of the "31 Days of Sonic" over on Twitter is "CONTROL."
In case you didn't know, Robotnik has been messing with Shadow's DNA since he was an embryo (and ended up killing his unwilling mother in the process).
Robotnik designed Shadow to be the ultimate lifeform (wow, big surprise there), immune to all known Mobian diseases, with rapid cellular regeneration - meaning he can heal quickly (tho, NOT instantaneously) and experiences very little fatigue even after much exertion.

He was also exposed to Chaos Radiation during his development, so he has the innate ability to absorb any Chaos energy available in the atmosphere and harness it, using his body as a conductor to generate power (which the Doctor finds useful) or expel said energy in a variety of powerful attacks (which Sonic has experienced firsthand).

Still, Shadow has his own heart and mind and despite the cybernetics implanted in him by Robotnik, is quite capable of thinking for himself, much to the Doctor's chagrin. As we can see in the image, Shadow is getting another intimidating lecture on why he's chosen to do one thing when Robotnik told him to do another.
