Uhh, in case it wasn't obvious, Shayde has the hots for Sonic. If she wasn't so single-mindedly devoted to her Clan and their cause she would probably keep him all to herself and find a way to- make him- want her? Could she do that??
Hmm, anyway...
It's a little gross to refer to Sonic as a libation here, but, considering the echidnas expect Chaos to drink in Sonic's blood, it's fitting enough for him to be referred to as a drink poured out in honor of a god.

Sonic shivered, not only from the cold sting of the manacles that'd just been clamped to his wrists but also from the effects of the Stalis, a device the Nocturnus Clan used whenever they wanted to subdue a prisoner. It had been jabbed into the blue hedgehog's back for only the briefest of moments but its effect - was lasting.

Already Sonic could feel his muscles becoming flaccid, the weight of his body sinking slowly downward against those terrible chains which held him suspended between two large pillars. He grunted, trying to stand upright on his normally, overtly reliable legs but already they were trembling with the effort.

This time, running wouldn't be an option.

Shayde the echidna, leader of the Nocturns and instigator of Sonic's capture, approached. Sonic could hear her bare pawsteps behind him and took a sudden, sharp inward breath as she touched him. Her hands slid up his sides until they'd reached his chest, her fingers sliding through his fine beige fur.

"Mm," she said, taking him in a light embrace, "You're so warm. I like that."

Sonic's ears flattened back against his head, or would have more properly had his body not been in the process of going completely limp. Shayde didn't seem to notice; she was too preoccupied with nuzzling the hedgehog's cheek. "If this wasn't so important," she whispered suddenly, almost to herself, "Using you like this would almost be a waste."

Sonic wasn't sure what she meant and he wasn't sure he cared. But even as he decided this he stiffened, his anxiety rising as Shayde's fingers began to feel their way around his frame again. "Ssally'd kill you if she saw what you were doing..." he managed to slur before his tongue went completely numb.

Shayde glanced at her captive with a measure of nonchalance. "Who?" She smiled and immediately recommenced, causing Sonic to grimace under the pressure of her hands. Her touch was so foreign, as was her scent; the feel of her body beside his own - it was all so wrong. Nothing of Shayde was similar to Sally and the fact that she wanted to be to Sonic what Sally already was filled the blue hero with revulsion. He wanted to shout for her to stop but his debilitated vocal chords produced only a distressed groan.

"Shayde!"

Shayde froze and looked over towards the entrance to the chamber. Her sister LeInda had just entered the room, arms folded and brow furrowed. "Everyone is preparing and gathering in the underground shrine. Do you think you might possibly be able to stop fondling him long enough to perform the rites?"

Shayde looked decidedly unamused but took a begrudging step back from Sonic, much to his relief. "Ugh, of course." said she, "It's not like I'd forgotten. It's just-" and her gazed shifted back to their captive, "If it wasn't so essential to offer him to Lord Chaos," she reached out and grasped his ear, rubbing it lightly with her thumb, "I'd very much like to keep him for myself."

"Well," snuffed LeInda, "You know that's not gonna happen. So stopping messing around or the Guardian might get wind of what we're doing before were even able to do it!"

Shayde ducked quickly under Sonic's arm and looked angrily towards her sibling. "Don't talk to me about Knuckles!"

NOTE: In real life, echidnas have a naturally lower body temperature when compared to hedgehogs. So, Shayde's reaction to Sonic's warmth is only natural. Still, if Sally saw what Shayde was doing, things wouldn't end well for the echidna.
