What can I say? This pic is a direct result of watching Leonardo| the Reaping - Fall too much. Β¬_Β¬;If you haven't seen the video, you won't know where this is coming from - it's actually one of the scenes... The video was made by the lovely ~Yoraee !
POOR LEO! Cursed by the Blood Eye (which you can see in his thigh)! The eyes - always watching him!! YES, the video's kinda creepy..! My pic here is representative of that.

My Representation Of Leonardo, The Reaping: So, The Blood Eyes Are These Demons That're Blind To The Human Eye. Every Decade It Moves Onto Another, Splinter Had It, Now Leonardo Has It. With This New Found Power Leonardo Can Now Not Die But He Tries To Keep This Monster In, But When Everything Goes Black And His Eyes Turn Red, He's Unleashed This Monster And He Is Taken Into These Weird Worlds (Like This Scene Here) The Red Eyes Have Completely Taken Over. The Scene Where's Falling With The Birds Means His Guardian Angel Is Trying To Save Him, When He Goes Into The Water, He's Dead.
When We See Splinter, Mikey, Raph And Donnie Standing (At A Rock?) Looking Down, It's Leonardo's Grave, The Blood Eyes Have Now Moved To One Of The Three. So That's What I Think Of It, Good Idea? Also Great Fan Art Man, Captures The Struggle Of Poor Leonardo.

OMG! I had a minor heart attack when I spotted this picture in your gallery!
I saw Leonardo - the Reaping a couple of years ago, but this is the first time I've ever seen any fanart of it!
I want more fanart of this!
Your picture really brings me back... I remember that the first time I saw that video, I thought for sure that it was based on a real episode about those bloody eyes...Β Β Took a while before I realized that it wasn't from an episode, but just a very, very epic video by a very talented person.

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! POOR LEO! But...but, dude! You weren't kidding! When I don't concentrate on the sadness, Leo looks fantastic here! xD I especially love his feet, which is a weird thing to like, but I think it's cause he looks so pigeon-toed which is not a stance one usually associated with our brave leader xD And I adore the coloring on his shell! (actually I think I noticed the same technique in your last pic with Donnie?), do you do that by hand? It just looks so different from the rest of him.
But...but..you gotta draw something HAPPY now T_T Come on, show our Turtles how much you love them! xD

OH man, you are SO right! I gotta start drawing some more upbeat pictures and leave off the doom & gloom for a while.
I'm glad you feel the same when it comes to Leo's aspect. As you said, when you don't pay attention to how miserable he is, Leo does look really good. Yeah, I considered drawing Leo's feet straight on, but realized pigeon-toed was more natural considering the position he's in.
