Happens AFTER Manning gets attacked by Raiveko! And before Irene's pups are born!

After the mission and the not less successful ambush, Irene feels down and joins Maul on his travels to sow some chaos together and feel less stressed. [Sanguis vacations be like] As Sanguines, as mentor and apprentice, as siblings.

But one evening Maul spots a small wolf and begins tracking him until Irene steps in and realises it's Manning. As Maul is ready to attack Manning, Irene blocks the way and begs him to stop. Manning, however, is not at all grateful. Beaten and stressed, he faces the Sanguines and as Irene talks to her brother, the former Asgardian notices that Irene's scent has changed even more and there's something more to it apart from a tang of blood every Sanguine has. His gaze travels to Irene's swallen belly and realisation hits him.

He was so sure that she'd loved him. Only him. Yet now she's with a Sanguine and seems to be pregnant with his pups already.

Overwhelemed with emotions that he'd stored for weeks, Manning finds breath to spat one last statement: "Traitor." Before turning his back and walking away.

Irene's shaken by the news she's expecting and stays silent. And Maul makes a mental note to return here without Irene and track the wolf down. For now he'll let him escape.
