Description
Shortly following his encounter with Nikare and Sabah , Balthazar returns to the north and seeks out Malaysia to inform her of what he discovered. Nikare was in the east. He explains how the defector came to the defense of a packmate who Balthazar ran into at the north edge of Cliffside - investigating the new boundaries that Skydas had set there, he claims, which was not entirely untrue... but not the whole story. Nikare attacked him on sight, that was all he felt needed to be said.

The shadow then asks the Alva's forgiveness for straying from Remiel, aware that an Adnos's place is not in the Freelands - especially not without permission to be. Malaysia gives little away as she receives the news that Nikare has surfaced, but makes it clear that Balthazar will be counted among the traitors if he leaves without warning or permission again.
