Corel painter essentials 4?!? What tablet do you use..? I use the bamboo fun... But I must say, this is rather helpful.
(Pale skin coloring skills unlocked! Next colors for me to learn are darker ones like I have!)

I don't really know the full name of it but is the Bamboo tablet. And all you need to do for dark skin is just make the colors darker. :I

Thanks again for the advice. From the software you use, I'm assuming you have the bamboo fun. My tablet came with that software as well as photoshop elements 7. Of course, I could be wrong. I tend to have problems with both softwares... that's just cause when i save corel stuff it's a horrible quality and photoshop just shows how shaky my hands are when I do lineart.

err.. it's photoshop elements. it's like a lite version of photoshop. you can't do as much as normal photoshop. supposedly it's less expensive, but i don't know for sure. it came with my tablet. it's fun to edit pictures with it, but my hands are so shaky, so when i draw with it, it's visible when i have my hand spasms. corel painter is way cooler, but when i save pictures, even when i put at the resolution 200 and save highest quality, it saves with horrible quality. it angers me.

My art teacher always suggested the resolution at 300.

i wish my art classes were more informative when it came to digital art... i barely learned anything new in that class for 4 years. 4 YEARS. Now, as a sophomore in highschool, i'm taking computer science, which WILL teach me photo editing properly because when i'm doing digital art, i barely even know what i'm doing.

Well that was only my 8th grade art teacher. My 9th grade art teacher was the most conceited, creativity hating asshole there ever was. I like my art teacher outside of class who lets me do whatever the fuck I want and we just talk. The mandatory computer class I have to take is actually going to teach me how to use Adobe Illustrator so I'm super excited!

that's awesome. i go to a charter school so resources are very limited. but now that's changing and there's some huge ass switch to technology. every high schooler got a kindle.. i'm just so happy about my computer science class even though half the time i'm so confused about what my teacher is talking about. i just want to get to the photo and audio editing because that sounds like FUN.

i love technology too.
but technology doesn't love me. yesterday, my tablet pen stopped working and today it started working again and i was like, "well then." my laptop has a spanish operating system and everytime i go online to chrome, it immediately translates english to spanish which is really annoying because even though i mostly understand what it says, i get bored of translating.
i could go on and list a bunch more problems i have but i'd probably bore you
