An entry for the Irish Jubilee 4 !!

This time featuring RT Zaphira 917 !

"Tell me again. Which horse is it you want to take down to the Irish Jubilee?" Cat asked, not quite sure she had heard that right.

"Zaphira," Evangeline answered, steely determination in her eyes. She was determined to take the ill behaved horse that she had taken a shining to to the show, and no one would talk her down. That didn't mean she wasn't a little nervous announcing her plan, though. She was rearranging the various tchotchkes on the shelves that someone else had thoughtlessly put in an absolutely random order. She couldn't stand it when things were out of place, and moving things around was a bit of a nervous tick of hers. Luckily those two things could work together to ease her frustration. It wasn't helping her very much at the moment, though. She got the feeling she wouldn't relax until the conversation was over, but a glance back at Cat make it clear that it wasn't going to be a short conversation. Cat's was rubbing the bridge of her nose, eyes closed, and looking rather stressed herself.

"So, you want to take the batshit warhorse who still has a long way to go towards rehabilitation?"

Well, when you put it like that.... "Absolutely. I've been working with her. She's getting... better. I think a chance to get out and see a new place might do her good. She still doesn't seem to like it here." She paused for just a second before continuing. "But she does seem to really like her new Irish halter. It's the first thing she's really taken to- I think it's the fringe. Anyways, it would be a shame if she didn't get to show it off, right?"

It was a beautiful March day. Spring was in the air, the sky was a bright, shining blue, and the grass was finally turning into a nice emerald green fitting for the show. Evangeline looked over the blue mare critically, making sure her hair was in place and she hadn't rolled in mud since she last looked. Not that Zaph was much given to rolling, but she was a freshly groomed horse on show day. And it also wasn't like Zaph was going to let Lin brush her all over again- she'd been lucky to groom her as well as she had, and with only minimal stomping and nipping. The mare did seem to slowly be warming up to her.

And she really did love her halter. Though she was a very serious horse, Lin would occasionally catch her swinging her head so the tassels moved when she thought no one was looking. Lin made a mental note to make sure that her future tack had something similar.

"Here goes nothing," she murmered as she picked up the lead rope and asked Zaph to walk with her out to the arena.

Hey look, a new character appears!

No references used for Zaphira. Snake frame is from here . Free vector recourses were used as refeences for the shamrock and triangle knots. The Large gold area on the halter is based off a letter Z seen in the Book of Kells and then added on to.
