Twins Miakoda of Rothere and Lysander of FancyPantsKingdom. They each hold a part of the other even when they've gone separate ways. When Miakoda's power awoken, her hair turned white although one strand remained black, her brother's hair color, and when Lysander first used his magic, one strand of his hair turned white like her. They come from a long line of mages, and they grew up close, two halves to the same person, all the other was not, but as they grew up and their magic awoke, Miakoda became corrupted with power and it turned her to the darker path Lysander refused to take. He refuses to use it since out of fear it would corrupt him as well, although he never stopped wearing the moonstone that grants them their powers just in case.

Miakoda's powers come from a moonstone she always wears around her neck, whether as a brooch or a necklace. If it were ever broken, she'd be powerless. Before Miakoda left Lysander for Rothere to study the dark arts, she told him that they would meet again, and one day they would fight the battle always meant to be between them. Yet its uncertain when that day will be or if either of them ever want it to arrive, for two halves of the same whole, one dark and one light, can't live without the other.
