Wanted to doodle a concept for one of the scenes in a final confrontation of a visual nov-- oh hell I just wanted to draw Randolph Carter soaked to the bone and a half-naked Pharaoh Nyarlathotep I'm only human!(Randolph Carter looks way too pretty here...)

Yes, yes I am a filthy Nyarlathotep/Randolph Carter shipper. Ever since I read "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" and read the lovely description of the Pharaoh I was just like "YOOOOO".
(The entire plot of LOVEcrafter is Nyarlathotep being pissed at how Carter escaped his clutches. Poor, poor Randolph Carter...)

Although I DO love to read and look for rantep stuff, I do not consider myself a shipper. I'm firmly convinced that RC was even more asexual than HPL himself ( I mean, at least Howard dated Sonia! 
I just think that Nyarly doesn't give a damn about anyone, no matter if mortal or deity, and that he only respects (and perhaps, fears) Azathoth.
Nevertheless, it doesn't stop him from teasing Carter just for fun

But yeah, I see what you mean about Azathoth. I mean, isn't Nyarlathotep described in some stories as the "heart and soul" of the Outer Gods? That suggests a very close relationship, something incomprehensible to humans. I'm not sure I'd personally describe it as humanly 'romantic', but it's definitely an interesting relationship. Lots of fun to think about.
.... I do personally like to imagine that Nyarlathotep is kind of sick of flutes, though, just because that's all Azathoth freakin' listens to. Ehehehehehe!
