now about the inkling subspecies

dominant inkling race:
species name: Teuthida Cephalo Sapien Loligo vulgaris
the most common inkling

humboldt inkling:
subspecies name: Teuthida Cephalo Sapien Dosidicus gigas
other info: these inklings are uncommon, but they are aggressive in nature and quick to anger, however, they seems to have a curious and more gentle side to them. a humbolt inkling is about almost about twice the size of the dominant inkling race.
most humboldts wears sunglasses because humboldts originally came from the depths of the oceans and unlike their giant and colossal cousins, they have not adapted to the light better than most of the deep sea squid evolved forms.

giant inkling:
subspecies name: Teuthida Cephalo Sapien Architeuthis
other info: these massive inklings are huge! many get to be about 18 feet tall! this race is very uncommon and is rare to see, these giants are huge they also have teeth on their suckers. these inklings are a little shy, but their diet consists of mainly fish, and rarely on occasion a dominant inkling.
squids are cannibals, most dominant inklings exhibit this behavior, but to a great lessen to a small degree, mostly having the urge to nibble on the tentacle of the losing team, giant inkling straight up eat their smaller cousins
giants also have more slender tentacles than their other cousins

Colossal inkling:
sub species name: Teuthida Cephalo Sapien Mesonychoteuthis
other info: the rarest and largest of all inklings and the largest member of the Cephalo Sapiens this sub species gets to be about 30 feet! like the giant inkling they have toothed suckers, but unlike the giant inkling, colossal inklings also have spinning hooks in their suckers on the two longest tentacles. unlike giant inkling, they don't feast on other smaller inklings, they sleep alot and have a low metabolism, they wake up and eat mostly fish. alot of fish. after eating alot, they don't eat again for weeks or months. dispite their massive size most are "gentle giants" and in their oral plate protrusions "fangs" on each "fang" there is a smaller protrusion next to each point. colossal are also kinda "chunkier"than other inklings
colossal also have shorter tentacles to body size than most other inklings.

I’m really a fan of the Humboldt and Giant inklings as those are too of my three favorite squid species (the third being the Firefly squid/Firefly inkling).
