A humpback whale showing how it's done.My "shot of a lifetime". Maybe I'll get better shots then this later in life but for now I'm very, very happy to have seen this.

That is indeed a shot of a lifetime! You must be very proud. I was in Alaska last year and was fortunate enough to see a humpback breeching too, but I didn't manage to score a shot like that!!!

Wow as everyone has said this is a beautiful photo. I think it was a mix of luck, timing and skill to get such a lovely shot. I hope to go whale watching off the coast of south Africa at some point in my life.
