Description ***IMPORTANT EDIT: This might come as really late, but unlike the rest, when it comes to numbers, it's written left to right. So if for example you're writing 100, it's one/zero/zero and not zero/zero/one***

Why I suddenly come up with these? Umm it's just that in this time and days wherein the Arabic & muslim culture is endangered and misperceived, I'm touched to see some people who are still interested in it. As someone capable of teaching these people a bit about it, I shall guide them into knowing better about the culture.. Even if it's only about the fonts. Well, god taught men with a pen. What's better than first teaching them how to write first? May all our bonds be strenghtened by this.

Part 4 of 4 of my simplified Arabic abjads tutorial.

This time, instead of about abjads, it's about the numbers. Unlike abjads, numbers are much easier to use. In which there are no linkables.

With the end of this Arabic abjads tutorial.. I'd really like to see you people use and render them in a stylish manner for your own projects, like what I do to my Windy Capital.
Neways umm just put these to good use. XD

You know, the Arabic 8 looks almost like the Japanese Kanji for 8! o.o Wow.

The middle eastern is the roots of civilization and one of the earliest at that after all. So maybe it is related in some way, like, through adaptation.

Possibly. Japanese developed from Chinese and Korean, so it's very possible that there's a link with Arabic!

After all, the origin of the arabic alphabet are from one of its root culture, the Phoenicians. Particularly known for its trading activity.

Trading. X3

Aren't they the ones who first developed a writing system? Or was that the Mesopotamians?

Can't really remember. Either way it's them. Though I do recall the Phoenicians & that trading part.

Wow, so if I wanted to write "10" I would just use the abjad for one and zero and put them together? Very cool

Yep, that's how it goes.. Only that you write them from right to left, as seen in many other asian heritage writings. This means that it'd be the one on the right, and the zero on the left.

That's what I thought about them too. XD well I never realized until I felt that uses of it is dying. Cool to see that you wish to incorporate it in one way or another, I'd be blissful to see and care to lend a helping hand on this should there be difficulties applying them.

Yeah alot of the many older written forms of languages are disappearing. chinese has been altered to be simplified by the communist regime, Other writing forms are giving way to a more popular use of the western alphabet.

I like these old writing forms though, I'll be honest and say that whn in a rush to write something, their intricacy is not practical. Never fear, I feel like I can certainly use it in art where it's artistic value overrides it's difficulty

Sure, you're welcome. And I'd really love to see other people trying to understand and incorporate these.. With the culture it's from tend to be misperceived and all.

You're welcome. This isn't really the initial culture though.. It came from the UAE but alas the people back when use this to write. It's still used today even, though the scope of usage has been reduced.

In that, yeah as said I'm touched to see the unexpected, unrelated people pledging interest to learn what they can about this dying culture. These are for you guys.

It is such a thoughtful thing to do. I wish more of the world would share more of their respective worlds. Maybe we would all understand each other a little better.
