Physical Description

Halter is a strange mix between her mother's coloration and her father's markings. Her build is also a bit strange. She is shorter than a caracal, but has a much more slender midsection than the average snow leopard. Her long tail helps her keep her balance on high places, while her shorter, more caracal-like fur length helps her to keep cool in the summer heat.

* "It makes sense, so we have to follow that rule!

* Halter will follow any rule to the letter, unless she thinks that it doesn't make sense. Then she will do as she pleases, regardless of consequences. Since she is a cub, not many rules make sense to her, so she breaks a lot of them. As she grows older more rules will make sense, therefore she will follow more, but she will still break the ones that seem unjust or confusing.

* Persistent

* "I'm not moving until you tell me a story.

* She takes interest in things easily, and when her interest is caught she will refuse to be moved or distracted until she gets what she wants. Sometimes this works, however she is a cub and can simply be picked up and moved (as long as you don't mind an angry Halt afterwards)

* Controlling

* "Mom says to go to bed so go to bed"

* Halter likes being in charge, it makes her feel safer. When she's in control she can make sure things go the way they need to (or the way she thinks they need to). Unfortunately her other siblings appear to have forgotten her 'leader' role. In other words, she has difficulty actually getting others to listen to her.

* Adventurous

* "This way, I heard a weird noise."

* Sights, noises, smells, and stories are what drive her to explore. She enjoys learning new things, and likes to be the first to know. That way she's the one with the information, therefore she's the one in control.

* Selectively Gentle

* "Are you hurt? Ok, I'll lick it better."

* This mostly applies to her family at the moment. If she doesn't know you, she honestly doesn't care unless she needs you to get something she wants. But if you're her family, she genuinely wants you to be ok, and is more gentle when playing or just in her general tone and actions.

* "If I go this way I'll get there faster."

* When she puts her mind to something, she can usually figure it out. She likes to come up with solutions to problems, though usually only if they effect her. Or her family. Otherwise, it's a rather big waste of time.

* "I don't need your help, I've got this."

* When she's sure, she's sure. And Halter is always confident in her knowledge and her abilities. She loves showing off what she knows, or what she thinks she knows. Which is actually very little. As she gets older she may become somewhat of a KNOW it all, but she just doesn't know it all right now so she can't be one.

H I S T O R Y

Halter is the product of an arranged breeding between Pine, a caracal, and Enril, a snow leopard. She and her siblings are supposed to help the reputation of their mother's master, with little regard to her mother's ableness to take care of cubs. Her and her siblings are taken care of by Pine and Erik, who have an unspoken thing. (It's a thing, they have a thing ok?)

O T H E R

● Hates puddles of water, thought she could walk on it since it has a surface. Instead she fell through the puddle and got wet.

● Often found lying in the sun, loves to be warm (a snuggler for this reason). Often complains when it's cold.

● Larger cars confuse her (lions, tigers) since she's used to smaller big cats (with the exception of Erik-but she always thought he was one of a kind size wise).. if that's makes sense. "They come in different sizes???"

● Enjoys hiding in strange places when there's nothing else to do. Though you could easily scent her out, the places she hides are rather difficult to find if you were just using your eyes.

● Doesn't like to go to sleep. At all. No matter how tired she is. "But then the day is over!"
