I wanted to try out my pen doing something light and fun and the Pemberly Park Events are perfect everytime. When I saw these palettes I absolutely had to give them a go!

{ A Frosty Evening Waltz }

At Pemberly Park's Winter event...

The new competition horses are using the main string's vacation time as a way to brush up on their skills before stepping out into the arena. Isa was estatic to be invited to catch ride some new horses and although she loved being a competitive rider with her own horse, she always enjoyed the opportunity to work with anyone. The Strummaiger boys and Lei came along, it seemed like Turik was slowly moving into Bloodstone and they also brought two new staff Isa and Wren had never met before. One of them was their cousin, Dimitri and the other was an intern, Kehlani. The seven of them busied themselves with their four horses before their classes, which kept the getting to know each other to passing small talk.

Kehlani was originally born in Hawaii, her mother came to the island as a plant and nature scientist to study the potential of herbal remedies native to the land and her father was native to her beautiful beaches, with family dating back all the way back to the original tribes. She rode everything but mostly liked to work with horses the needed rehabbing, a fondness given to her by Lei, who was her original instructor at Bloodstone before she transferred to Strummaiger. She seemed keen to come back to Bloodstone and got alog really well with Wren, there was some friction with her and Isa, who couldn't see why it seemed everyone was so dazzled and taken by her.

Dimitri was quiet, he kept to himself and the horses and would mumble in response to Isa's prods, nothing discernable. Wren, however, found his stoic but determined aura endearing and found herself talking to him by the time they had started warming up. He grew up with the boys and was like Dareen's second son, he didn't talk about why he was there or his family but he made sure to share his graditude for their kindness at every bend. He was the communication and networking guy at Strummaiger, he would seek out horses for breeding and sale and coordinate the transfer of horses. From the way he talked about it he alluded to some large transportations being regular business, and his love for the horses was obvious.

The seven of them were just about to head down to the warm up arena before Turik suggested Isa change steeds...
