Huehuehue, managed to get a lot of entries down for this show I have been struggling because my wrist has been hurting A TON recently, so much so it leaves me in tears sometimes.. so I will probably slow down here for a hot sec. The good thing is I feel like it is just a matter of me picking up my normal routine and I've been to sedenate recently.

Enjoy a hunky Achates Been working on a bunch of breeding stuff as you may have seen. I am hoping to get some nostalgic lines here and have them active, so if you have someone you'd like to cross, hit ya girl up

At Northgate Farm in North Dakota. Lei, Isa, and Dareen had been working tirelessly at the show..

Isa could feel the tension between the boys. It was palatable. So thick, you could practically see it. The two had been in terse conversation the whole time travelling to Northgate, once there things didn't lighten up much. Isa just wished Dareen wouldn't put Lei in just a rough mood. Lei was kind enough of a person but when he was irritated, he definitely had an edge and was less concerned about where he used it.

Isa loved riding with Wren, her friend had built her up and they would talk, she wasn't used to this passive agressive bullshit. And we're the stereotype, Isa rolled her eyes at the thought and she did her final touch ups to Achates before getting on again. Lei was somewhere getting the studs cooled and lunched and was glad for the alone time, she needed time to think and settle down before her class. She expected professional riding to had its downfalls, but this was not something she was full prepared for.

Nonetheless. She would bear on, Things could be much worse and this is all something worthwhile.

In no time the two were tacked and ready for their class. Isa felt confident for every spick and span sparkle that radiated off of the grey;s impeccable coat. It was when Isa was just about to mount when Lei approached her with an interesting and ornate, golden box.

"I know things have been tight and I appreciate you hanging out and being a good sport. I brought some ink for good luck." Lei smiled something that was almost a sheepish grin, gesturing to the vial.

Isa was slightly taken aback by the gesture in surprise and mounted Achates with a smile.

"I appreciate you being so thoughtful, I would love for you to paint him." She agreed happily, watching the man with lit curiosity. "What is it made of exactly?"

Lei smiled as if he had been told a juicy secret and cleared his throat slightly.

"It is a unique and organic blend of rare herbs, including tumeric and powdered quartz, citrine, and amythest." He looked at Isa with mischief in his eyes before stepping back to admire his work, completely jumping topics. "It is for good luck and to help with his shoulder stiffness. We may need to rehab him this winter for his longevity." He patted the grey's wither and smiled at Isa. "You'll be great, we'll be seated in the stands to record for you." With a path on her leg and a wave, he was off, leaving Isa with just enought time to leave for her class and arrive on time.

The pair warmed up briefly, Isa sat quietly to tune in to Achates to feel for this "stiffness" Lei had talked about. He was right, the front right was stiff and caused an array of hollowing through the stallion's body. With some paitient and mindful work, Isa had him loose, long and round and by then the jumps were effortless and smooth.

Achates did even better in the class.

The moment he saw the crowd, his ears and eyes perked and lit, he was on the go. He became a showboat of a horse, holding his tail high and proud for all to see. The jumps were precise and graceful, the stallion was talented and powerful and it showed in his skill. He rode like a dream and jumped his heart out, giving staisfied tail swishes and snorts as he cleared large obstacles.

This was the highest he and Isa had ever competed, she was nervous that it would be a mess and was happy to see Achates put his best hoof forward. She knew the stallion had impressive skills and was going to do amazing things, but this was unexpected and hugely appreciated.

By the end of their round, Achates had not broken a sweat and breathed only the ever slightest more elevated. He held himself like a king and knew he had done exceedingly well. Isa, couldn't agree more and gave him all the love and praise she could muster. She was over the moon with this boy.
