It's impossible to draw something for the "haters" or the "lovers", for they can't exist until they witness the completed piece. You can't hate/love something you haven't seen yet.
Criticism is part of being an artist. If you can't handle it, art isn't for you.

If that's truly what you believe, then I feel sorry for you...Imagine everybody throughout history behaved in such a manner...We'd be living in a VERY different world...If nobody ever tried to change anything...That's a world that I don't want to live in. There will always be bad people in this world. But if nobody where to try to change that, if every time something bad happend, they where just expected to "get over it" the world would be far worse then it is now...

People who make art you disagree with your beliefs aren't "bad people". The bad people are the ones who try to control others. What you're talking about is exactly what I'm supporting. People are free to criticize as they please, and if you're unwilling to improve yourself, then you have no choice left but to get over it.
My point is that, in this world, people aren't going to constantly kiss your ass. So at some point you're going to have to stop whining and realize people will always be critical of you.

You seem to have misunderstood what I ment. When I said "bad people" I ment criminals. And criticism is a good thing! SO LONG AS IT'S CONSTRUCTIVE. It helps us learn from our mistakes, and to move onwards not only as artist but as people. However, nonconstrucive criticism can be extremely destructive at times. Even ruin peoples entire way of life in some extreme conditions. I say this from experience. I almost gave up art completely because of one person. I even became depressed for some time...
And your completely right. Peaple arnt going "constantly kiss your ass" as you put it. However you must realize that not all people are the same. While there are a lot of "critical people" out there, not all of us can simply "get over it" Β some of us get defensive, like in Roxas's case. Or react with sadness, like me...Or anger, like in the case of my friend Jay...
