Media: Water color, and Ink (for hair, birds, and shirt). The hand is actually observational, but everything else I did freehand. (I sketched the boy, and followed the lines with paint).This is Crow. He is an original character I created right here on this painting. It started out as a practice run for another painting, but I was so captivated by him I continued this long into the night.
Even though this is old, it remains one of my favorites. I love this painting. It's very precious to me. I just wish my art teacher could value it a least a fraction as much as I do.

I totally remember this work. I was also even more surprised that Manning didn't praise it much at the time... She's got some major prejudice towards anime and Disney, from what I can remember from the conversations I had with her as a TA in senior year. Anyway, it's nice to see you still have this. One of my favorites. ^_^

She's one of the few people that completely rubbed me the wrong way. Manning was so close minded. To this day I am proud of this. It's one of my milestones.

Actually, I've been debating whether he should be Korean or Japanese... I've been toying with the idea that he could be in Seoul (sp?) instead of Tokyo, where tons of anime already exist...
