Description
to all you prussia cosplayers out there! i know that it is hard to come by a gilbird that is a good size so here is a pattern for making your own gilbird! at the end just hand sew on the hair clip so you can snap it to your hair or cloths!if you use this pattern do not claim it as your own! please link back to this pattern. also i would love to see what people make! so if this is used please comment below on this with your own gilbird! XD thank you

Omg that is supper cute! I will make one at some point and turn it into a phone charm.Β
Quick question,Β
If I change the pattern to make it like my own would it then become my pattern?
I know that was kinda daft but would that be okay?

thank you!Β
depends on what you change about it, but i am not using it, mostly made it for others to use. so sure if you changed that one it could be your patter.Β

Could you explain what the triangle cuts are for though..? I'm an amateur at sewing so I don't quite understand.. ^^'
π: 0 β©: 1
RoyallyPlushed In reply to ClemmyClooBoo [2015-12-17 22:48:08 +0000 UTC]
Triangle cuts are darts. Darts are added to patters to create a depth to the plush. so if you sketch your own patter cut out the triangles shown and then pull the new cut edges together and tape them you will see the paper start to curve. Of course when you cut it out of fabric you don't want your patter taped, make sure its all flat. Once you cut it all out sew the darts up first then around the body. it will add volume and more curves to the plush.Β

So for the beak-ish cutout part of the body, you just sew the two sides of the triangle together? Is that right?Β
(I'm gonna wear this to school when I'm done )

I'm confused... About the body... Can you please explain? Β
π: 0 β©: 1
RoyallyPlushed In reply to YenBeilschmidt [2014-02-11 20:01:06 +0000 UTC]
the body you cut a mirrored peace. and the triangles(also know as darts) that i put into it are so that the body is more rounded and 3-D. when you cut out the pattern you cut out the darts and sew them up. then after you have sewed the darts together you can sew the front to the back. does that makes sence?
also i love the Conan <3Β

I absolutly love the Gilbird! He's so cute! I've tried to follow this, but I'm not the most artistic person out there. If it's not too much trouble can you please make a tutorial? If not, it's all right.
