Description This was meant to be released on April Fools' Day and was hinted at with the release of "Letter to the GCPD". However, real life events just sort of made this one got lost in all the shuffle. I've dug it out, slapped it into the new ObMod VOX Box to incorporate a scene with Em Parker who will soon be joining the Artifacts and tah-dah! I hope you enjoy this one, even if it's a few months' late to be topical.

Bonus points if you can catch the Easter egg.

Being the Commissioner isn't easy, managing Bullock is harder and dealing with the Calendar man...well that's just tough as hell. My sympathy goes out to the new commissioner, and I have faith she will do well. Bullock, keep cool man.Β

One thing about arkham that creeped me out; Calendar man describes how on Saint Paddy's day he poisoned his men's green beer with green mamba snake venom. Maybe you can make a reference to him doing that

Sounds like Harvey isn't as on good of terms with Yin as he is with Montoya.

ah Yin, she was always a b**** in The Batman, well at least in the earlier seasons.

Let's see here about the Easter Egg...
Of course we got a "New 52" reference with the "...murder of fifty-two people.", but knowing Roy, we gotta go deeper. (insert Inception "Bwong" here while I put on sunglasses)
Β The first of Bullock's anniversary, June 23rd 1989, was the release date of Burtons "Batman", second anniversary, Dec 25 1993, would beΒ the "Mask of the Phantasm" release date, June 25th 2005, would be the release of.... "The Batman" episode "Meltdown" (an Ethan Bennett/Clayface centered episode)...Β while I'm sure Roy meant to have it be the 15th, release date of Batman Begins (and if I'm not mistaken his favorite of the Nolan trilogy), this is what Google-I mean, my infiniteΒ knowledge of Batman gave me, and March 25th 2016 would be the release date of "Batman v Superman", without a doubt, one of the top 5 DC Cinematic Universe movies.
Β And yeah, that's all I got.

And yes... Batman Begins is my favorite of the Nolan trilogy.

Yup. I did mean 15th. It's already been changed.

Whoops... Sorry... Third date should be June 15th. Must've typed 25th by mistake.

Release date of Batman Begins
You still managed to get the date, even by mistake.

What would have been more creepy for Earth-27's Calendar Man would be he carved the months on his forehead , I mean the tattoos are freaky but Arkham inmates need to be scary I mean if Universal got the OK from both Warner Bros and DC to have an Arkham Asylum themed haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights I'd piss my pants, I mean you walk down the halls of Arkham past the cells of Batman's greatest rouges.

Poor Yin, sort of feel bad for her. Tough spot she's in, following in the large footsteps of James Gordon with her limited experience.

Hey Roy, I left you some VOX ideas in this comment chain. Just so you know. Once again, great job. Anything else tonight or is this it? Just wondering.Β

Wait so if Bullock has been divorced 4 times, has a wife currently, and only has 4 anniversaries, does this mean one of his wives he got back with. Also this is kinda interesting timing seeing the news of the actor who plays Bullock.

That is crazy, and very sad. Probably wouldn't get it in Michigan, but why didn't an AMBER alert go out on her? Hope she returns home soon and safely.

Maybe because she's 16 or like you said that you wouldn't get it in Michigan.

Holy [expletive]! I had no idea about his daughter! That's crazy... and sad. My heart goes out to him and his family.

And in E27, Bullock has been divorced 4 times. He still lives with his most recent ex.

Oh well, Sorry Harvey, but Commissioner Yin has to do it, because that's just how she operates now. I for one want to see when Yin gets to first interact with Gotham's hero community and the Batfamily. Excellent work as always Roy, but do you got anymore for us tonight? Oracle Files or VOX Boxes? BTW: here are some more VOX suggestions:
1. The long awaited "Oliver teaching the ninja vanish technique to the younger heroes " coupled with the younger heroes asking Bruce, Oliver, or Artemis for LOA names or what they think are cool "ninja names"Β
2. Barbara educating those who are young or don't know about organized crime in Gotham before The Long Halloween and how it's different from fighting rogues and super villains.Β
3. The Generation 5 Titans meet their predecessors from G2 and some of them become very open to G2's wild party lifestyle while Damian is not amused and subtly tries to keep Carrie from joining in.Β
4. Barbara has a day of nostalgia the week after Carrie is made Batgirl and sits at her station in her old black Batgirl suit with the helmet on/off and remembering the day she first met Bruce and Dick in costume all those years ago, perhaps with a screen cued to a shot of the exact spot. Maybe some of the heroes she's monitoring or helping or those physically there have varied reactions to her in her old suit? Then Carrie visits in her brand new high tech Batgirl suit and gets to finally see her cousin/sister as she once was and then some family fluff ensues as Carrie swears up and down to honor Barbara's legacy.Β

Yin is a good cop in an impossible situation. She wants to be the best commissioner possible, but she doesn't have the experience and she knows it and worse, she knows that her subordinates know it. She's too proud to resign though so continues to paint herself into a corner and the whole time wondering why Mayor March appointed her as Commissioner.

GhostlyElegance In reply to Roysovitch [2017-07-04 04:34:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh I don't doubt it. But it's Bullock. And I'm a shameless fanboy. Hell, I got into DC comics because of B:TAS back in the day. I just love the idea of a slob who's completely rough around the edges, is a complete jerk to everyone around him, uses mob connections, and on top of all that is a sexist pig but at the end of the day is still a good, honest cop who will knock every last tooth out of your mouth for accusing him of being on the take.

Edit: And now with that said, you've got me wondering about Mayor March. Dammit, Roy!
