I think Tot is pretty much what alfred would be if he wasn't you know...Alfred. He has long since past the point of caring about the little things and is so devoted to his work and efficiency he will take the logical (albeit unpleasant) routes for the sake of that efficiency. He's also past the point of caring what people think of him which I also see in his blunt attitude, I rather like that.

I like Tot. Very interesting guy. Can see him casually kicking a bucket to Bette without breaking concentration. I'm assuming this is where we start seeing less Flamebird as a biker babe and more as a heroine

What say we keep a roster of our ever-growing group of investigators, who I have dubbed the "Dark Detectives"? so named because most of them work discreetly, in the shadows, or are black ops agents.
Plus they've got three cops who can help now, Renee, Maggie, and the soon to be released Crispus Allen. Plus Bette will be a huge help since her very long stint in the Sons of Batman probably gave her a lot of knowledge on the underground networks in Gotham.
Although can anyone tell me why some get creeped out whenever they hear the name Jim Corrigan? Cause all I know is that he's a JSA member here in Earth 27, and was a corrupt GCPD CSI in the Gotham Central comics. So why are some mildy freaked when they hear his name?

He's a fun one to write. He's not a well known character so I have a lot of freedom in my interpretation of him

There's indeed cause for cheers as now it seems that Bette's street name will finally be made a reality, perhaps starting off as sidekick to cousin Kate? Anyway I think we ought to make a list of the investigators being recruited so we can keep track.
So we got: Renee, Kate, Tot, Angel, Sam, and possibly now Bette. Soon to come I believe are Alex Danvers, the other Nightshade (Eve Eden) and I don't know who else.

Also, perhaps our merry band of investigators should be given a name, as all alliances in the DC world have. Plus what's still eating at me is the identity of one of the local commanders of CRIME in Gotham, Red Alice. If it's who I think it is, poor Kate is gonna have so much emotional baggage to deal with. Also perhaps Eiko Hasigawa, the local Yakuza head, could be persuaded to help since I hear she's got connections to Selina from when she was Catwoman? Course on the flip side we've got Andrea Beaumont leading the ladies of the Terrible Trio on an all out war against the underworld of Gotham.
I do believe though that our band of investigators need a name though, cause don't all teams have names?

Hmm... I suck at team names, just sayin'. Last time I had to name a team, they ended up called the 'Shadow Risers.'

Oh boy, if that's true and they actually manage to convince Red Alice to help, something tells me she'd be the only one willing to use deadly force to complete the objective, cause she is a high-ranking admin in CRIME after all. Course if Red Alice turns out to be who I think, then Kate probably will not allow her to leave her sight at all, not after how long it's been.
Perhaps an optimal name for them would be the Dark Detectives? Cause most of them are black ops people, or usually operate in the shadows? And for Andrea and Kathy, Rocky, and Sonia, what say we call them Ghost Squad since it goes with Andrea's persona as Phantasm?

First off, our group of investigators are gonna have to familiarize themselves with Gotham's underground, so perhaps that could be where the knowledge of cops like Renee, Maggie, and tomorrow's release, Crispus Allen come in. Course it also helps that they have Bette, who I'm guessing will soon be a hero and former SOB member. Due to Bette's long service in the SOB. she probably has a good amount of info for her cousin and the rest.

Yeah, that's good too, I was just thinking Ghost Squad to suit the whole Agents of ARGUS thing and how intelligence agencies usually give codenames to groups of operatives. But Phantasm and the Terrible Trio sounds fantastic, hell, even like a band!!! hahahaha!!
