Description Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Look up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Superman! Yes, Superman, a strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.

Earth-27 by Westerman & Cho, based on characters and titles of DC comics.

If they're sponsored, they're getting VOX Boxes.
Chloe is a member of the Network (the 'team' of Oracle, Operator, Proxy, Paragon, Herald, Panda, and other hacker buddies belonging to the the League's circle of friends)

I did change it. I'm going to rerelease the other in a larger format as a full on VOX Box

To be fair to Jimmy, Ambush Bug is not a credible source... and veteran reporters like Perry White, Vicki Vale, and Jack Ryder haven't made the connection either.

Read the 'real life' section.
Then factor in the argument that many writers have made where people don't assume Superman has an alternate identity and just lives in his hidden Fortress or he's constantly speeding around saving people.

DarthYan [2017-03-18 04:22:47 +0000 UTC]

I'll be honest....I never really liked Bruce inspiring Clark. Batman's a symbol but not an inspiring one of hope. It also makes Batman TOO important. Clark is in many ways the true heart of DC comics and an embodiment of what it is; he's the first character DC comics ever made so it makes more sense for CLARK to have inspired Batman. A smarter thing is that as batman was dealing with leaving the league he reads about superman and realizes he can still make a difference by becoming a symbol. This gets him out of his funk and inspires him to use his assassin skills for good.

Call it a matter of taste

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to DarthYan [2017-03-18 06:06:46 +0000 UTC]

Clark took the idea of Batman and went a different direction with it. He became his own symbol, embodying the El message of hope.
You don't have to like my approach. I am not forcing it on anyone. Bruce Wayne is older than Clark and this is why I went with this approach.
To justify Batman's exceptional skillset I felt it was important to make him and Green Arrow the older and experienced veterans in the Justice League.
Also, Dr Occult is the oldest character still being used by DC, not Superman.

Riviellan In reply to Roysovitch [2016-12-09 07:00:16 +0000 UTC]

I despise what he's become. And I deal with that in the work I've written.Β

In my story, Batman has sunken into single-minded bitterness and paranoia.Β
He even goes after a homeless man who stole a book from the library at one point (priceless first-edition, but still).

To see all he once was, the glorious force of justice, and to look at him now, the suspicious, tactical jerk...
It's like looking at a hollow reflection. He's all business, all the time, sans compassion. Oh, yes, Bruce has charities, but that's all a mask, to hide his true nature from the public.

Batman isn't a mask Bruce Wayne puts on every night.

Bruce Wayne is the mask Batman dons during the day. Β

Not so fond of Superman being inspired by Batman, but it does fit the general theme of Earth-27. And American Alien did it, too.
Also not too fond of Brainiac being the League's first enemy, but at least it's a change of pace from them fighting Darkseid yet again.Β
Batman didn't make his best call. I really cannot imagine Clark killing Lex over this. If anything, this seems more like a bluff. And I imagine Lex would've been easily smart enough to have discovered Kryptonite before it was as late in the game as Jason's death. Still, I will give Bruce credit for putting extra security on the Kryptonite pocket. Good to see him putting some checks on himself.

red martians? In young justice there are three castes. The green martians, the white martians (lower caste) and red martians (royalty). I have mixed feelings on young justice but thought that was cool

Roysovitch In reply to nightcrawlerfan19 [2016-04-04 22:09:21 +0000 UTC]

Batman inspiring Superman is what it is. Won't please everyone.

Technically, Brainiac is not the League's first enemy as they aren't the League until after beating Brainiac.

I dontknow about you but if my best friend's kid is being tortured and your friend is firced to watch it, I think threatening or killing a man you hate (who you believe is connected) would be a small price to pay, especially if it may save the kid's life or relieve some of your friend's concerns. If you're Superman, it goes double. Superman hates feeling powerless, he took his dad's death so hard because he has all those powers but couldn't save his dad from a heart attack. But that is just how I see it.

Lex was only opposed to Superman for like 2 years prior to this incident. Sure in movies, Lex figures out Kryptonite is Supes' weakness in the first thirty minutes, but in the comics it took Lex three years or more, based off their first appearances.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Thanks for your feedback, though. It is appreciated.
