Beautiful! I love this so much. There's a lot to think about her, and several story lines crossing paths. I wonder if Waller is aware of Arkham's obsession with Black Mask, and how that will effect their relationship.Β
About the election, I think Grange just tanked. Looking back at the debates and her poster, people seemed to love her because of her squeaky clean record. She was a lot like a Harvey Dent before his accident. Now she's just an anti-Batman, anti-Gordon puppet for Amanda Waller. I happen to be an advocate for Mayor Sebastian Hady's third term, and I think disgruntled Grange fans should look no further than Hady. He's corrupt alright, but so is Grange as we've just learned, and at least Hady is keeping Gordon and Batman. Tradition may seem repetitive at times, but if it works don't fix it. This brings me to March, who may be the actual worst choice of all. There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about Lincoln. People appear to believe that he is the opposite of Grange and Hady, but he actually has some ideas that should turn some voters down. First off he too wants to get rid of Gordon, something he sneakily avoided in the debates. He wants to replace the legendary comissioner with Ellen Yin, an inexperienced GCPD detective who has a very low chance of furthering the GCPD's success. Second he wishes to focus renovations on Gothams infrastructure that would mostly help big corporations like his own. Thirdly, while he believes in Batman Inc, he also plans on implementing police and government oversight on vigalante activities through a city council and, you guessed it, the young Comissioner he wants to instate. This is all ignoring the fact that March was a Court of Owls member in the books, and will likely have an agenda which we currently don't know of. I don't think I need to explain why Hady is better than that.
In conclusion, just because Grange turned out to not be what she seemed, at least we have an experienced politician who we already know and who has a platform that actually benefits Gotham. Don't go to March, he's just going to pay a lot of tax dollars to make himself and his company wealthier and more powerful. Definitely voting for March, If you guys can't see the dark side and light sides of these guys, then why bother? At least March will keep his promises.
