ok when you say Maya, did you have a the model rendered and then imported into CS2 or did you just screenshot the model and work from there? It may sound stupid but i'm very curious, Maya is very new to me

So near photo quality! I agree with the others that the lighting is superb. I love the vantage point you chose for this piece; makes me feel like a tourist seeing a great city for the first time and just having to take a picture.

If only this place were real *sigh*
Maya...that's 3-d software, right? I believe my friend is learning that for school. I shall have to have her see this.

Your imagination and occult sense of imagery is uncanny. This work like a fantasy, but in the same sense, it can be understood to be possible. Your work is simply gorgeous!

This is absolutely fantastic. I always love scenery that draws you in and makes you feel like it's a real place, and this does the job and incorporates a fairytale quality to it. Awesome.

The details and realism is absolutely fascinating! I'm a bit new to digital, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering how many layers you used in this(or if you used them at all). Also, did you use any references?
Absolutely wonderful

Tons of layers and always use references! Not so much for the idea but mostly just for real world lighting and things like that that I incorporate (or try to). Thanks!

I love the grandiose scope of this. It reminds me of some of the Dinotopia cityscape paintings James Gurney made.

omg this is super awesome
I love the mountains as they are now they look super real and from what I can see it looks pretty smooth don't think it needs any more work , well maybe the lighting as you said what was the dpi that you used when painting it ? it looks really detailed so I'm curious.
Anyway great job! this deserves a fav ^^
