Description

Jessi: Bittersweet feelings of my ring retirement and also as HR specialist at TWF hounded my heart all week. I knew these intimate emotions would linger for a while, but as a consummate professional, my responsibility would be interviewing and hiring my replacement. Jerle had shown me some candidates, but due to various reasons, I wasn't impressed by any of them. After all, this wasn't your ordinary paper-pushing HR job. In fact, it could be physically demanding because it entailed being an enforcer in those "break glass in case of emergencies" situations. For this unique position, sometimes "your office" was the wrestling ring.

I began to worry as my time was running out, and no suitable solution appeared on the horizon. That was until Jerle handed me another resume. I held my breath, ready at any moment to let out a weary sigh of disappointment. However, to my extreme delight, my gleaming eyes widened as I scanned across the crisp, typed sheet reading the name: "Megan McKenzie ". One of my training partners and a shrewd business woman who scouted and promoted the combat league, the Fighting Angels. Jerle must have heard my squeal from down the hall. However, he missed out on seeing me in my chair, pumping my fists in the air in joy! OMG!!! I needed to interview that woman IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Megan: The time between putting my application, and getting the call to come in was instantaneous.  I don't think I've ever had such quick feedback in my life as I was asked to come in to do the in-person interview. Something on my CV must have stood out to bring such a positive reaction, and I couldn't wait to go in and see if I was a fit for this position! The voice on the other side of the call seemed awfully familiar...could it be? I didn't want to get my hopes up too high as it would be the most unique of circumstances. I had to stay composed and focused before entering this interview.

Jessi: Never in my life did I think I'd ever want to hire someone on the spot for such a position as I did with Megan. It cost me so much effort not to squeal over the phone and shout, "Megaaaaaan, you're hired!!! GAAAAHHH!!!" But no, Jessi, you must keep your cool, girl! Even if it's roleplay simply to cut this red tape, never let it be said that Jessi Bowen didn't do certain things by the book! Hiring my replacement was certainly an important concern of mine, since many of my dear friends were part of this franchise. I couldn't bear to see ANYTHING happen to a single hair on anyone's head if I didn't properly vet Megan. I knew her experience, strength, and possession of mind would have her pass the interview in flying colors. Yet, the overthinking part of my brain just *had* to be sure beyond all doubt, so I wouldn't wake up during witching hours and worry about my friends.

When Megan appeared punctually for her appointment, I gave her a warm handshake and offered a cordial smile. "Please have a seat, Megan. I'm so happy to have you interested in this position." Her composed self-possession was there as always. She slid her glasses up her bridge delicately, then settled into her seat across my desk, smoothing down her posh A-line skirt. Her attire was on the higher end of business casual, which was quite appropriate for our league’s dress code.

From her polished look, choice of attire, those endlessly observant brown eyes, along with that ruminative “resting face”, sapiosexuality exuded from every part of her. A tastefully cut halter top in black and white, black skirt, and chic, strappy heels all accentuated her powerful, but still alluring, feminine shape, showing off her defined biceps and triceps. Her stalwart shoulders were beautifully capped off by wonderfully developed delts supported by a strong core...and of course, those rippling, long gams that were sexily lethal. My brain filed all this away in two seconds as the perfect physique for our prospective “Enforcer”, and I started the interview.

"What made you interested in this position, Megan? What do you seek to gain from this experience should we choose to hire you?"

Megan: Alright... stay composed Megan. I could see that Jessi was ready to jump out of her seat to hug me, but she needed to be professional, and I was happy to respond in kind, although truth be told, I was ready to hop into her arms there and then.

"Well first off, thank you very much for this opportunity! TWF is a prestigious organization which has many moving parts which makes it successful. The HR representative position interests me as is the conduit which ensures smooth operations of the organization to keep colleagues engaged and/or in line. It also acts as a filter to ensure that TWF only brings the best of the best on board.

I hope to bring to the table my expertise to successfully fulfill this position's needs, and I hope to gain invaluable experience from working with the fine staff of TWF."

Jessi: As she began with precision and focus, we made comfortable eye contact, and every once in a while, I'd type some notes on my computer. Megan's demeanor was just as expected - she always gave the illusion that she had prior knowledge of whatever was asked, never shying away or faltering in her responses.

"Thank you for the wonderful things you've said about TWF. Obviously, you’ve done your research. However, that comes as no surprise because you've been an astute promoter and scout as noted on your resume, and you have a full sense of our expectations. This brings me to the next point. Since you wear so many hats while also training seriously, how do you plan to juggle this additional responsibility?"

Megan: I leaned forward as I adjusted my seating. "That's an excellent question Jessi. And this brings me to two of my greater strengths that I've been working hard on. The first being my ability to delegate. I have found some very capable people who can handle my day-to-day operations with minimal supervision, giving me the opportunity to expand my horizons. And the second strength is my ability to make quick and accurate decisions in stressful environments, along with swift and laser-focused execution. I feel with these two strengths, it will allow me to successfully carry out the responsibilities at hand."

Jessi: A reserved smile flickered as I typed up more notes on my computer. "Hmmm, well it seems that you are leading into my next question so beautifully again. You have that ability to put people at ease, even making an interview process flow so smoothly." My next inquiry was preceded by a gentle chuckle of approval. "Being able to delegate and to hire the right people that can be entrusted with those delegations is a very empowering skill that many people fail to recognize, not only in the corporate world, but in our lives themselves. Now, I want to delve more into your response about handling high stress environments. Please tell me an instance where you had to handle an unexpected, stressful situation."

Megan: I leaned back in my chair as I began reminiscing. "Among my favourite examples for this was when the main event of Fighting Angels Apocalypse Pay Per View ended in a draw between Olivia Parker and Thuraya Vaziri. The crowd was unhinged, and I knew I had a moment's time to change the perception of the crowd. I got on the microphone, and within a matter of a minute, I got the crowd from jeering to cheering. This was very important to me as the girls poured their hearts out into that match and the last thing I wanted to see was an ungrateful crowd for them, but this was very stressful as it could have gone either way.

Jessi: I nodded in approval, "Thank you for sharing that example. Most impressive! And how would you see yourself implementing these swift decision-making skills at TWF? Would you establish a protocol for handling employees or visiting wrestlers who continually violate our policies? How would you handle intruders? We've had a few, unfortunate incidents where our wrestlers were ambushed. Our security is far better now, but we always need contingency plans. So, what would be your methods in those types of situations?"

Megan: I smiled and adjusted my glasses, then I leaned forward, maintaining eye contact with Jessi. "Protocol is what I do best, both in standardizing and enforcing. Much like in Fighting Angels, the girls there, no matter how dangerous, all know that it is in their best interest to respect me and obey my wishes. Any girl who crosses the line or transgresses is often met with swift and severe measures to maintain order.

Jessi: As I held my interviewee’s unwavering, confident gaze, I had to stifle a magnificent cackle of impish delight from echoing in my office. "Ah, perfect!" My heart fluttered in its affirmation of this potent similarity between Megan and myself - we could give people as many chances as needed, but if we felt a problem had to be handled, we executed it with a relentless intent. "I forgot to mention that our HR position is not like most you've experienced. Here at TWF, along with the title of "HR Specialist" is embedded the role of "The Enforcer". Your ruthless willingness to keep order mirrors my own and makes me extremely confident that you will treat our league members as part of your own wrestling family. Having said that, we've come to the conclusion of the first part of the interview. Now, we'll proceed in the ring for the second and final stage. Are you comfortable wrestling in your attire, or do we need to provide you with gear? Candidly speaking, I wouldn’t worry about ruining your clothes, in this case..."

Megan: I leaned back once more while maintaining the gaze of my lovely interviewer, as I just *knew* we had an alignment. The final thing to do was give her assurance. "My dear Jessi, a simple removal of my heels and glasses will get me ring ready. I am prepared to do what it takes for this final stage."
