I have never really done much design work for blog layouts. Ryno Studios is currently powered by WordPress, but it is nothing like a blog in terms of structure and layout. I was thinking about that the other day; I can code WordPress designs into themes, but I haven't designed any blogs. So I realized that I should probably practice making designs that follow the typical blog layout.I love blue designs, and I really wanted to create a blue/green design. This actually came out very close to an idea I had in my head a few days ago, so I am happy about that as well.
This took much longer than my recent templates, mostly because there is so much that needs to go into a blog it seems. I tried to style as many things as possible to show the design is quite modular.
I still think the footer looks a little simple/plain, but I don't have any ideas for that. It certainly fits the design, but I feel I should give it a little more "oomph."
If you have any suggestions, please let me know, especially since this is my first true blog layout.

I was wondering why all the templates for blogs Ive seen have been written with examples in latin. Can you explain please? Its a very nice design though!

I'm a complete newbie to blogging...looking for guidance, templates, examples, anything I can find to help me to begin. I love and appreciate the info. you have provided! I have to explore a bit more before I feel comfortable enough to create a blog with all of the apparent components necessary. Will be traveling back here until I'm more confident! Amazing job. As expected. Love the colors... I'm a huge blue fan as well.
Except for one thing... I can't read latin.

Actually, I can read Latin. I took 3 years of it in public school. Well, actually, I should be able to read it, but all I can remember is "semper ubi sub ubi" which roughly translates to "always where under where." The funniest part about that is that my teacher never taught us that.
In all seriousness, though, thanks for the support. I love the colors, but I am still concerned with the footer. I want to do a portfolio design using these colors, as I feel I can do them more justice, especially if I use them on a layout style I am well-practiced in. Or I might rework this design later once I have better ideas for blog footers and blog designs in general.
