"1. The minotaur is a most unusual and exotic beast, found only in the scrub forest islands of the Far West. It bears some similarities to the mainland molochs in it's long claws, crests and horse-like face. But that is where the similarities end, as the minotaur is a biped with a gangly build. Though dwarfed by its mainland relatives, the minotaur is still among the largest land animals of the Far West's island chains, with bulls reaching over 2 meters in height.

2. Minotaurs have taken a dominant high-browsing niche in the habitats they live in. They use their long arms and hooked claws to pull down branches that many other browsers cannot reach, and then pull bundles of leaves into their mouths with their powerful tongues.
3. Besides the size difference, males being around 20% larger, the best way to tell the difference between a bull and cow is by looking at the horn-like ossicones and axe-shaped crest. While both genders possess these structures, they are far larger and more impressive in males.

4. Minotaurs are mostly solitary beasts, and highly territorial. No foe is exempt from a minotaur's temper, from vicious predators to armor-clad men. Even smaller creatures (such as this dwarf long-horned deer) can prove to be bothersome enough for a swift kick."
