Description Entry for CoreMembersThursday Prompt: Silver Screen .

All of these were done from memory. No references or anything. Each one of these has a darkness to them, whether it's that it happened during a dark time or anytime it is brought up, there is lingering darkness. That being said, all of these led me to move forward so they were all chosen for something good.

My first fandom was The Little Mermaid. It's typical. And I'm honestly embarrassed every time my dad brings it up because the stories he tells are bad. However, Ariel is a strong female and I empathize with her and her struggle to get what she wants. By the way, Ariel is the only one that purposefully looks stylized differently. I didn't just want to copy.

Ferngully was after that. That fairy is Crysta. When I was little, I used to imitate the box art just by looking at it. The story itself was terrifying, but I loved it regardless. I would run out of the room when the scary scenes came on. But this is what led me to be an artist. I would be at my dad's work and just draw the box art. Someone noticed and was amazed. They told my dad and it just felt so incredible to be acknowledged. I didn't even know what was so great at the time. Kids...XD

After that came Nightmare, my username-sake. Jack was my best friend. He kept me sane for years, especially during my adolescence. And even when bullied on DA came after me because I shipped my own character with them, I clung on. I don't care what those horrible people think. They aren't important and they are wrong. Jack taught me that through his story. It is the longest fandom I've been a part of because I still am. The reason for his appearance is because I redesigned his appearance since I was tired of trolls coming after me. So now this Jack is from an AU, which is why he looks so different. Deal with it!

Horton Hears a Who is next. It was originally just a delightful thing. So new and different. I chose the Mayor because even though Jojo was typical, he wasn't the character I truly loved. Not quirky enough. The Mayor demonstrates what being different is. No one believes him but then he proves everyone wrong. That's me. I've done that over and over and I will continue to do so!

Finally, Buck from Ice Age. Similar to the Mayor, Buck is a quirky little weirdo. The darkness comes from that he didn't return until the 5th movie. And even with him in it, it wasn't very good. Buck is a fun character and Simon Pegg (his VA) is phenomenal. Buck could have had his own story because he's the favorite character in Ice Age for most fans, I think. I didn't care about the others.

Thanks! I know I messed some stuff up but this was all from memory so I'm not surprised.
