Description
Mewtwo is a genetic frankenstein, a unique creature created by the splicing of cloned DNA from numerous pokemon, primarily mew and alakazam, as well as human. The full extent of its psychic powers are unknown.It is an incredibly intelligent and dangerous pokemon, which violently escaped its creators and has since gone into hiding. It is said to be sentient, making it the sole member of a race more advanced than human beings.
I wanted it to look somewhat freakish, something that would look out of place in nature. Almost like an android.
The mew is an incredibly rare pokemon with powerful psychic powers. They are known to hibernate at the bottom of the ocean for hundreds of years. Only one has ever been captured and it was used to create the mewtwo. Unlike it's clone, the mew is incredibly docile.
And with that, I am done drawing pokemon! For now...

I really had a good time to look through your serie. It is beyond awesome. I've seen lots of talended artists making amazing realistic pokemon drawings, but 2/3 of them where simply dinosaurs. Now, I love dinosaurs, but there are a lot of possibilities, like frogs and toads, deep sea fishes and all the alternative creatures you used. I really liked the description, expecially on the most challenging pokemon, like hitmonlee, exeggutor and the ghost family. And I was reqlly annoyed by all those childish comments regarding the fact that the pokemon were not represented in a traditional way and the fact that you used animals to represent grass pokemon. Great work sir, great work.

Sorry I'm not really a talkative person so most of the time I don't leave comments. However, your work is so ingenious that I must! I have loved looking at your realistic pokemon. They all look superb though my favorites are the eeveelutions, Charizard, the ghostly trio, and Exeggcute and Exeggutor. I love that you can clearly see you put effort into each of your creations even the ones you didn't seem to enjoy. I would hope a brilliant artist like you will never stop creating

It's such a disappointment to see this series end... I would love to see you draw the entire pokemon series eventually! (and if I had money, I would commission a great deal for it)... alas..

Really well drawn! However, I want to pint out that Mew wasn't captured to make the clone, just some of it's DNA were found in some ruins deep inside a jungle.^^' I got the PokΓ©mon: The First Movie with both the small intro-movies, where you see the discovery.

Yikes, those are some freaky looking pokemon! Though it's to be expected, mew is a freakin' living fetus of a pokemon.
And with that, I give my final adieu until the next generation is drawn (which I suspect will be in a relatively distant future). I hope when that time comes, I will have the urge to stop by and look.

Thanks for all the comments, glad you enjoyed my pokemon. I don't know if I'll ever get around to subsequent generations but I've been toying with the idea of tackling the Mario characters. We'll see.

I made him look like more of a rodent than a feline. It wasn't intentional, but it does sort of make mew seem like a lab rat.

in a way mewtwo could be considered an organic golem... a being brought to life using inanimate materials (cellular protiens/gene mappings/cells, tissues etc.)

Yeah, to me it never really did look feline anyway, it looked like a miniature lizard man thing. I think what you did to it makes it look a lot more like an animal.

Wow, I have to say the mewtwo was my favorite when I was younger, and you drew him almost exactly how I pictured him looking if he were to appear more real. GREAT JOB. I'd be scared as hell if I somehow got faced with one O_o
