Description
...or ladybug to those over the pond.So I had another play with the acrylic paint today.
I had tonnes of fun and only stopped because people were moaning about not being fed, I hadn't eaten, so why the heck would they need to?
So this is not really finished....but I couldn't be bothered to do it as a WIP so I'll just edit this lot when I've finished it... I need to do bits of tweaking on the antenna and I want to make the wood texture better .
Got the photo from the amazing stock gallery of aka ME! [link]
I'm pretty damned chuffed with it though...I think I might do more paintings.
It's had about 5 hours work up to now.
Acrylic on canvas 12" x16" (30cm x 40cm)
EDIT: I've played around with the wooden background and although it's not really as I would like I'm worried that I may overwork it so I'm leaving it at that for now. So I think I must have spent about 6 or 7 hours on it altogether.

Fantastic work, the shadows and the texture of the tree... The smoothness of the creature... Also great composition

I thought this was a picture as well when i first seen it. The shine on the lady's shell made it all come together. Very nice and i hope that you continue to paint
