InformationWhen Amalysis approached me about a design commission, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience, as she gave me full creative freedom with only some vague concepts to build off of, like mage or necromancer. I really like to run with these kinds of orders hahaha. So this lovely was born from about 4 days of work, half of which was probably just brainstorming and the other half was cursing at all the tiny detail. xD She is, by far, my favorite design I've ever done, across the entire board. She also has the most hand-painting I've ever done without reference! Her outfit and her wings were done from scratch without any other aid, so that's a pretty huge breakthrough and I'm extremely excited to continue taking steps toward art independent of stock. I could not be more happy to upload her, so I hope she is enjoyed!

I don't have loads of skill with digital painting myself, but I've pretty much always drawn from memory/imagination, so let me know if there's anything I can do to help
Delving into new art skills is scary business though, I'm still trying to get my head around blender and digital 3D art. I'd love to make some low poly stuff eventually. I think I'm slowly getting there! Definitely needs a lot of patience though

See! SEE! I told you there is nothing you can't do! Everything about this is perfection - those wings are absolutely gorgeous and that dress is incredible! The design of the woman itself is gorgeous and your horns are to -die- for! You are such an incredible artist and you have such an amazing talent! I really love the transition you did on her wings, from the feathers to the membrane and that lovely detail on the inside of them. The spikes (?, not sure of the right word here) are s nice touch that added some danger to the beauty. The clothing style is beatiful. I can see a lot of work in just the hem of the dress, too. Okay, the face. THE. FACE. That's just amazing, 'nough said. Then the horns, love the type you used here. The detaik you put on the base and tip of the horns is lovely. Love, love, love the little orb you positioned between them and the little jewelry you have underneath the orb isΒ Β . Β I'm so awed right now and impressed that so few words to you can make something so breathtaking. Thank you sooo much .

There's nothing better than making a design and knowing it will go to a good home and be loved. You order art the way I do, then! I always try to leave it up to the artists, though it doesn't always make them very happy cuz they want specifics xD But I have found that letting an artist follow their own muse makes the best result, because they know their style--they know what will look best in their style. Plus, if they are following their muse, that usually makes the best, fastest, and most beautiful pieces rather than trying to do something so specific that is the opposite of what they might've chosen! I mainly just try to educate them on what my character is like and then set them free to do any pose or concept they want. It can be a little difficult when they barely speak English, though, or aren't willing to read all the info to learn the character. Oops hahah
