Description
This is the fulfillment of my recent YHH, featuring Cyrenne for Aedrielle ! It's incredibly abstract, obviously, and I had a lot of fun stretching my creativity and really playing with it. I was so happy to receive this subject because she fits the background perfectly, it was easy to pair them together. Her colors were a little hard to maintain with all the effects going on, but I think I did a fair enough job at it in the end. It was kind of an odd one because there's no real lighting source. The whole thing just... is. It's all equally lit. So, therefore, there's no shadowed part of her--which made it hard to blend her in and make her look natural. But once I let go of "natural" and delved into fantasy and focusing on beauty instead of realism, it clicked. The horse was 100% hand-painted, using Arabian/IC 5 as the reference. The background is a combination of hand-painting and a million fractal stock references, and honestly I couldn't even begin to compile them lol. The character has an intense amount of hair, so to cut back on fees, we actually decided to hide a large chunk of it, because then I can charge less cuz it takes, y'know, way fewer hours. So that was a lucky little trick we were able to pull while remaining true to their design!
