I drew this to make a huge birthday print for =cartoongirl7 , but I finished it way early and decided to share. I'll draw more for her before the end of September, when it's actually her birthday.

One day she came to my house and discussed the special touches she likes to add to her drawings, like frills and lace and flowy hair. I used to make fun of her all the time because she'd usually make the clothing white/light colors, while I always used bold, dark colors.

Well, I want to work on versatility so I worked on making a really girly picture. But of course, I had to stick to my guns and do crazy backgrounds like I usually do. The entire background is done with Copic Sketch markers... very experimental. I was cursing half of the time I was coloing, because I didn't plan ahead and had to keep improvising as markers died/dried out. My Copic graveyard is growing, by the way.

So here's to something different. I love red/green or red/blue color schemes.

It makes me feel all bubbly.

~ 6 hours (2 hours drawing/inking, 4 hours cursing and coloring)
