Description Character sheet for the contest is having. It’s rushed and incredibly shitty, I know.

Dr. Silvia Vention is a leading robotics engineer for NAR (North American Robotics). She gained a high-ranking position in the company at a very young age through a combination of her own ingenuity and the fact that her Uncle Starling (actually her first cousin once removed) was CEO. The vast majority of the people who work under her dislike her because she tends to be condescending in her criticism and will blow up at the littlest things (“Do I look like I need coffee?!” “…yes?” “YOU’RE FIRED”. A number of people also question her sanity.

She used her position at NAR to create an incredibly advanced AI named Seth (officially referred to by NAR as the STH-1), who is an exact physical replica of her sickly elder brother she lost when she was 14. Seth is essentially how her codependency issues manifest themselves (she couldn’t take care of him then, so she’ll take care of him now, with her NEW brother). Seth is under the impression that Dr Vention is his older sister and that he is human.

On the subway she met a man a few years younger than her named Eric who found her craziness rather endearing and made her laugh. She agreed to marry him after six months of dating. They might have been rushing into things.

She likes rules, fixing things, telling people what to do, science fiction novels, violins, robots, sweater vests, eye-shadow, caffeine pills, lipstick and anything purple.

She dislikes rock music, coffee, ass-kissers, being told what to, religion, romantic comedies, fashion magazines, interns and crossword puzzles.

Very cool! She seems like a crazy character, I am interested to see how she interacts with Seth, so hooray! Thank you for entering!

One of the things I like about Vention is that she is so intelligent and yet she copes with her hurt in a defensive way that is usually reserved for people of less intelligence. There is dissonance in her, but no one notices because she is a workaholic. I am really very curious about how she and Eric wound up connecting.

Once again you seem to know my characters better than I do! That dissonance is my favorite part about her, too.

They probably connected over something like theatre movements or funnel cake. I'm still figuring it out.

Hehe, Yeah, it is pretty cool in a character as pivotal.. and dead as she.

Funnel cake is a wonderful thing, with layers of complexity in it's cultural and philosophical imlications... but it probably isn't a good basis for a relationship...

Hence the 'rushing into things'. Eric can be overly romantic.
