A quick picture, no coloring...This is a concept sketch for my friend TK's alternate scenerio of the KHII game~ She has an idea where Roxas takes control of Sora halfway into the KHII game and is brought back to Org XIII by Axel. And wears the cloaks. I always wanted to see Sora in an Org XIII cloak.
I wish that the game had explore the darker parts in more detail - in specific, when Sora realized that he was aiding Org XIII's plans by slaying Heartless, but he couldn't just stop doing it... and maybe his efforts were all for nothing. That point of the game seemed darkest for Sora, and rather have Maleficent help them out, I wished Roxas had re-awoke and helped Sora survive!
Heartless were people, once, but living creatures that have fallen into darkness.
Nobodies are the shells left behind, without a heart, but with memories of their past, and a sense of self.
Would it be called killing...? Is it right to do it? Wrong? It isn't their fault for being what they are.

Fisrt of all, I love your theory. It's somewhat like my own. Because, in the very beginning of the game, Roxas cried for his friends from Twilight Town through Sora. But he didn't cry for Axel? It makes no sense. I feel that if he was going to take Sora over at some point in time, it would have been then. So he could say goodbye to his friend and (well, this is my own yaoi thoughts speaking) lover. <3
AND I think it's wrong to kill the Nobodies. I was quite shocked in the game, actually. Sora had been this adorable kid with a slightly retarded outfit, a goofy smile and a couple of love interests.Then in KII, he had a badass outfit, his voice actor was finally through puberty, he was serious and he suddenly was totally biased. He didn't care that the Nobodies still had memories, that they wished to be their old selves. No, he just went right through, killing them as he could. He was still suspicios of them when Axel gave up his life for him. So, KHII Sora was great, but he kinda lost that cute innocence from the first game that I really liked. D: And a small part of me died when I had to fight Demyx. D:
Anyways, this is a wonderful drawing! I love Axel's exoression and the look on Sora's face is very Roxas-like~! XD

Actually, Sora did sympathize with the Nobodies, or at least Xemnas, near the end.
"Xemnas, there's more to a heart than just anger or hate. It's full of all kinds of feelings. Don't you remember?"
Also, he did look a bit sad for Saix as he faded, even if he did ask who Roxas was.

That's just... a awsome idea for how things should have gone. <3 I just love Roxas, he is so much darker then Sora, and just all together more normal XD But I always have felt sorry for Organization XIII. All they did want was to be whole and be human again, I mean I feel slightly stupid about it but when I defeated Saix and heard his little plea towards Kingdom Hearts I nearly cried.
And even though Axel wanted nothing more then to see Roxas again, and be with him, I bet in some small part he was happy that Roxas got what they all wanted.

At the secret ending of the game when the word chaser comes up. I think a chaser is the soul of a person who is put into this alternate world where time has no meaning. So the figure covered in dust is Xehanort's chaser, but instead of being evil it could be good because in KH1 Sora said that within each heart is alight that never goes out! Also since this is an alternate world his chaser could be a girl. So it's mission could be to find Xehanort's memories. If none of that than Xehanort before he lost his memories in the past.

In the secret ending of the game when the word chaser comes up I think that chasers are the soul of a person and the soul is put into some alternate world where time doesn't matter and that Xehanort's chaser may be good because in KH1 Sora said that their is a flame of good that never goes out! So the figure that was covered in dust and at the final parts of the trailer may be his chaser. Or maybe Xehanort himself from the past and this happened in the past.

I agree with you on the whole, exploring the idea of darkness in the game, bit. I mean, all the Nobodies want is to be whole. . .but since Nobodies supposedly can't feel, how can they WANT something? And when Axel said he would miss Roxas, how would he feel THAT? 0...o I think there's more to it than they let us know. In the game, they said that a human is made up of a body, heart, and soul. Personally, I think it's actually body, mind, and soul, just cause the heart and soul seem like the same thing. From that, we can deduce that. . .
BODY + MIND (HEART) + SOUL = Human bean.
BODY + MIND (HEART) - SOUL = Heartless. Since you needed a heart to make a Heartless.
BODY - MIND (HEART) + SOUL = Nobody.
MIND (HEART) + SOUL - BODY = ??????????????????????????????
I think they'll explain what happens to people that lose their body, but keep their mind (heart) and soul in the next game or at least I HOPE they do. XD But that's just me. . . .and yea, Sora would look TOTALLY hot if he was in Org. XIII with Roxas' personality. . . .but wouldn't that be Roxas then . . .(dies)

I agree with you completely. Some parts of KH II (and even KH) are very dark and totally could go more into detail. 'Specially with Axel and Roxas. I was happy to see Roxas get mad, liek zomgi'magonnabeatupyocomputer-mad. It was something emotional, as opposed to Sora's dorkily "We can do it!" attitude. XD
And then we have that scene, where Sora's doubting himself 'n at. I remember watching it and going "YES! Please give us a slightly dark Sora for, like, five minutes or so!". And then Maleficant came. ;-; I really hate how she was more like the comic relief in this game when she was more of a bad ass in the first...

Oooooh ho ho. But remember, we're dealing with Disney. People don't die, they go to sleep. XD I'd say it's killing. But because they used to be their true selves, it's kind of like enlightenment? As if Sora killing them is releasing their trapped/tarnished souls back into being pure/wholesome? And when I say pure, I mean back to their true selves. But I love how you bring that up. 'Cause you're right, technically it is killing.

Axel's expression is awesome, and I really like the grey tones on the coats <3 And as much as I love Sora's optimistic little self, Axel made me feel all ;0; But then, if Roxas took over, I'd want Sora back. But if they could... co-exist, that'd be pretty cool.
It was kinda my thinking that... Sora was actually helping the fallen-into-darkness people by defeating the Heartless. Because in my mind... every time he defeated one, heart was released, goes back to KH, possibly reborn? I dunno, if I were a Heartless, I'd probably want to... not be a Heartless anymore. XD; As for the Nobodies? Uhm... I have no idea. *runs*

I think it's kind of sad that Sora...hm, 'destroys/kills' the Heartless and Nobodies...Because, as you said, it's not their fault that they're....what they are.

...what a spiritual and deep dresciption ending... it gave me heebie jeebies. Yeah, i would rather have Roxas back. Melifeicent revived herself for what? To save her enemy? T_T Yeah... it seemed like they just added her as a filler, just something to make the game plot moves faster; she didn't have much signifigance, Roxas would've been a better alternative.

What we gotta do is wait until FFXIII come out. Once that does we can see Nomura's true directing style and find out how much he was hindered by Disney's happyhappy, maybe. XD

I like the fact the KH2 got more away from the Disney plots and more into its own, but it made me wonder....what would happen if you put a heartless and nobody together? Would you get a person? And through the whole game I kind of felt bad for the nobodies because all they really wanted were hearts so tht they could be a whole person, oh well... Nice picture!
