Something a little more abstract, and weird coloring again! Possibly using this for KH Ultimania's new art contest, which states you must only use 2 colors.SPOILERS
SPOILERS
I'm still working out the Nobodies/Heartless logic. Technically, the name "Heartless" is decieving because they ARE the hearts of people who have fallen into darkness, right? Hence the little hearts being released when Sora the Shadow Slayer slices into them, and how he returned to himself after Kairi called him back from being one? (?)
And then, "Ansem" = Xehanort's heartless, and in a way IS Xehanort.... right? @__@ But was "Ansem" and Xemnas working together? Except Xemnas wasn't looking for his heart but for power, so even though they probably knew where each other were - Heartless and Nobody - they...uh... didn't want to return to their Xehanort-self. Then Ansem was defeated KHI, but returned somehow via stalking Riku's heart. (Or maybe Ansem's heart is IN Riku, like how Kairi's heart was stuck in Sora??)
That'd be... odd.
Have I lost anyone? T_T All these are just theories, fyi.
TK-friend replies: I think that the Ansem we see in KH II is just the embodiment of Riku's darkness given a physical form, and given that Xehanort's heart kind of resided in Riku when he gave himself over to darkness, to a degree it is his heart, but in the same way it isn't, because they defeat Xemnas and reclaim Riku therby forcing Xehanort's heart away
Me: Ooo, good idea. 8D
TK: Otherwise, Riku would've known to identify himself as Xehanort and not Ansem. Because, if it were Xehanort's heart, he would know that he is Xehanort.

P.S. I love Heartless. They're so cute and cuddly. I want a bajillion Heartless plushies! A friend sent me two that she made, and they were adorable!

Hmm. Very interesting theories. Kingdom Hearts definitely has a few plot holes, but with such a complicated plot how could it not?

aaaw ~ this is so adorable >w< the idea of this is so original and unique ! the way how you put the one heartless in the middle of the big wondering where his heart is just simply sweet and little sad too. theme gives the touch that what if the heartless aren't really bad, they are just wandering souls looking for their lost heart. these shadow heartless have always been my favourites, i agree with you they are cute and cuddly ^_^ the composition is really nice, the way other heartless are around the one, it makes him stand like in spotlight that he is special one. like the way how you made it linesless very much, it gives them more three dimensional look and free touch since there isn't liness to be seen where their form would stop. colouring is really pretty, goes so smoothly. pin, purple and blue colours fit really well with each other and like the shading effect changing from light pink to blue. overall shading is great, blue is darkish and fits for the heartless but it's not too dark to fit with the pink. and pink is like the light which there is still maybe left in the heartless giving the tiny touch of hope. and the hearts in the air are neatly done. absolutely wonderful work

Before I launch into my little opinion-fest, I apologize in advance for not reading through the million replies you already have on this. XD If I'm being horribly repetative, I apologize, and you can disregard.
I do agree with what your friend says regarding the whole Riku identifying himself as Ansem thing. Also of your identification of 'heartless' actually being something like 'decaying hearts in darkness' who all instinctually act to steal other intact hearts (for whatever reason.)
Just so I can get this straight before I start (lol, more to myself than anything...) Xehanort, to our knowledge... is the human and original form who *had* a heart. (Even though his name, confusingly, can be switched around to spell 'No heart'. Damn Nomura and his making us all overthink *everything*.) There are more mysteries around him, because it's been said that he's missing some memories of his life before becoming Ansem's apprentice. So... he could've been... anything really, a keyblade master, or already a heartless/nobody (but this confuses me even more.). Then we have to wonder there, how Ansem (the wise) got started researching the darkness and hearts... perhaps Xehanort showing up without his memories under mysterious circumstances started it. The heartless of Xehanort... went by the name 'Ansem' after he 'eliminated' the true Ansem. What was odd about this was him being able to keep something close to his 'human' form, even though he's supposedly Xehanort's heart, plunged into darkness.
Sora *couldn't* retain his form... but he did temporarily retain his will. He followed his friends in this short time. But there's no telling how long that would've lasted. (Kairi, being a princess, saved him because... she could. I guess.
Then there's all the princesses created the keyblade thing, which I sort of got lost on, probably because I wasn't interested in the other 6 princesses, and ignored it. *bad* I'm pretty convinced that Xehanort was a keyblade master before all this... Jumping topics before I write you a novel... even though I already have, and it's probably repetitive already. XD Xemnas. Most nobodies want nothing to do with their others... since they want to become their own beings, instead of combining with them and having to become them. Roxas and Namine were weird... I think since they had 'part' hearts, or something. Not specific on how that works either, now that I'm trying to explain it. I'm sure Xemnas wasn't interested in the actions of the heartless. He didn't want 'Xehanort's heart back... because Xemnas, like the others, had developed senses of self, which really screws everything up in every aspect of nobodies, hearts and others. They want to be them... when they *shouldn't* have been what they are to begin with. o.O Riiiight.
Which leaves me with... Where the hell did heartless originate? That little story thing in the first one ... where Sora watched chibi-Kairi in the library talking to an old woman, was saying how there didn't used to be darkness in anyone's hearts... the worlds were all together instead of apart... Lol, I'm starting to wonder if *that* will be Xehanort/AnsemHeartless/Xemnas' fault too somehow.
Ack. Sooo sorry... this is huge... and now I can't bring myself to not send it because it IS so huge, and I spent like, 20 minutes typing it. I'm sort of hoping it doesn't go to waste, but I couldn't blame you for being afraid of it's massiveness and running away.

Haha, now I get it. It's all very detailed and... complicated. I think most theories will be dealt with in the third one involving Xehanort. (I hope. Because it's driving me nuts how open-ended it is.) For some reason... (yes, Xehanort and Xemnas definitely look very similar... but most nobodies and their 'others' look very similar, so even that is hard to dispute. I don't know... I sort of figured Xehanort still had his heart... but just not his memories, thus his identifying Kairi as the princess of heart. (and all that.) I don't see who could've identified her as such otherwise. But we know virtually nothing about that except that Xehanort found out she was somehow.
*ANYWAY*. Thanks for replying! I realize it was probably a staggeringly enormous comment to come back to. I sort of let myself get carried away. <3 Too used to commenting on LJ (and needing to split them up into three or four.). At this point, it's fun just to make guesses and enormous theories, and let everyone be right. <3

I'm not a person who is very good with words, but I'll try to reply adequately to your very thought-out comment!
My friend was wondering... possibly Xehanort WAS a Heartless himself, like Roxas was, and perhaps was seeking out his own heart unknowning while under Ansem the Great's tulage. Hence his driving desire to find out Kingdom Hearts. But then... DID Xehanort turn into a "nobody" again, by the name of Xemnas? Don't they still look exactly the same? Maybe Xehanort is the exact same person as Xemnas (as in, he didn't lose his heart, just changed his name, but has always been a Nobody). But then I don't know why his Heartless would be called Ansem, unless he found it again after eliminating the real Ansem-the-Great. I forget a lot of details here, so it's just an oddball theory I have.
As for the Soul Eater, I'm not sure if it's a Keyblade or just a sword he gained. It looked nothing like a key to me, and I only thought of him as a Keyblade master when he showed up with that Way to Dawn - perhaps he found it somehow in between CoM and KHII, since he probably cleared up some issues with his own heart at that time.
As for the origin of Heartless...perhaps another day. @_@ I'll need to look up KHI's script again and reread the story that the old woman told Kairi in Hollow Bastian's library.
