OKAY hehe. I drew this awhile ago and thought it was about time I posted this.

I ADORE Maria. She is such a sweet heart.

She is probably one of my favorite human characters on Sonic. Next being Eggman. Hehe.

But yeah. I love her, the only depressing thing is that people tend to like pair her up with Shadow, or compare

her to certain characters when there can only be one.

I find it a bit disturbing when people do this kind of stuff is well...:

1: She's a kid.

2: She's.... you know. Not alive ;A;

3: I highly doubt anyone can be like her.

4: It's disrespectful :c

5: SHE'S HUMAN... and not a reancarnation hedgehog or some bs like that ;~;

That's all I have to say. The real reason I drew this though is down below.~

Here is my theory of Sonic The Hedgehog:

It's all Maria's imagination.

Maria is just a young girl who had been home schooled through out her whole childhood. She barely goes out to play with the other children, but when she tries to, the other children make fun of her, and call her such things as the cootie queen.

Gerald, her grandfather, witnessed this one day and decided to do something nice to her.

He decided to get her a hedgehog. The hedgehog was a he, his quills was as sharp as his eyes yet soft to the touch every time

Maria had petted him. His dark color had complimented the little hedgehog so Maria had named him Shadow.

It had been one year since she had the little hedgehog, taking care of it, feeding it, loving it. She loved the little guy and considered him as her best friend. However Maria had felt Shadow had been a bit lonely. So Maria decided to save up some money she had earn from chores to buy another hedgehog!

The hedgehog she had bought from the store was a speedy little guy. Never in one place. He always found a way to get out of his cage, and into Shadows. This mostly annoyed the Shadow, as he scratched at the other hedgehog.

It had been a couple of months since she had bought the little hedgehogs, however, she feels something is not right. She needs a girl! Maria decided to save up more money from her chores and buy another hedgehog! (And a bigger cage so she could put Sonic and Shadow in together since Sonic keeps escaping from his...)

This hedgehog was like no other. Her quills were as white as snow, and she had tender paws. Her eyes were as bright as red roses yet glistening like the morning sun. This hedgehog was albino but it was no reason to treat her different. Maria had decided to give her a ordinary but beautiful name. Amy.

As Amy was set into her cage, this caught the eye of a certain black hedgehog.

Things had happen and a little baby hedgehog was born. His quills were dark grey but when the light had hit them just right, they shined. Shy little fellow he was however, always sticking close to his mommy.

This had made Maria happy.

Oh and the reason why Ivo (Dr. Eggman) doesn't like sonic is because Sonic bit him one time while he was over playing with Maria~ Hehe~
