Description
Here we have Alice, aka Aquatica, floating atop some water. I am considering leaving her as she is, or actually adding some water. I don't have time to do it now since I have to run to work in mere minutes. I need to think about it more. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. I know her pose is exaggerated, which is what I wanted. Haven't done a dangling, hanging low belly in a while. I was also going for a pouty face with her, trying to make her look sad or irritated. I gotta go guys, leave me some love.*EDIT* So I added the water around her finally. I imagine this is Aquatica, floating around the Gulf of Mexico, some squid freaked out by her, yadda yadda. I used a lot of my old graphite sticks and stuff to make the deep, murky water. What do you guys think? Also made her face dripping with water, her mask, messed up her hair a little. What do you guys think?

Squid: Why are there so many aquatic superheroes in my ocean?

The inspiration for the pose actually, rather unpleasantly, came from the idea of her kneeling before the porcelain throne lol. A morning sickness joke. The water and squid were all an after thought. I am starting to get tired of drawing my girls being perfect, you know what I mean? I want to dirty them up. I'm intending to draw a battle damaged or worn out Mira. Know what I mean?
I'm glad you like this and I am soooo shocked that I never noticed the other layer to the puns you just opened up. Alice IS buoyant! There's another way to make more layers to her weird situation. You know, like how she has her water powers because of the water retention pill, and she's retaining HER water, and now she's round and floaty, like a buoy lol.

Well that's great though. Gives them depth & shows purpose in your art improvement <3
But I understand how poses morph from one thing to another while still retaining a certain feel lol.
And looool, she most certainly is <3 She's fantastic. And now she's like an onion, more layers xD

Aw, improvement in my art...a controversial topic there. I feel like I'm about to have a good summer with good art, and I'm so afraid it's going to get ruined again, like last summer. Granted, no one actually plans a heart attack...but whatever. I just wish I didn't lose months taking care of my mom when the weather was great and then was forced into the winter months taking care of my mom...again.

Thank you, glad you like it. And no, unless you want a commissioned sculpture, no requests. Too busy with other stuff right now, sorry.

Looks good. Water would help the floating idea because without you telling me it would have been tricky at first glance to figure out the spacing around the figure.

I wanted to add a cuttlefish for a pun, like cuddle, but I didn't like drawing them, they're only good at certain angles, whereas a squid is a squid from all angles lol.
Do you like it?

I honestly do since I so rarely get to see you draw animal art. This is why I encourage artists to get out of their wheelhouse and try something new.

It's always nice to see a distended belly hanging low like this, but thinking about pregnant ladies immersed in water did make me wonder how much the neutral buoyancy of water would counteract the pull of gravity. (Looking at Google images of pregnant ladies underwater was inconclusive, but did reveal some nice pictures of pregnant ladies underwater).

I did exaggerate Alice's shape, like I generally do with most of my girls, but more so Alice's pose is exaggerated. However, as an expert in real life bellies, those things are rock solid and almost never shift once they reach the last 3 weeks. I agree with you on the inconclusiveness of such examinations lol.
I take it you like the piece in general?

Yes, it's a nice picture. I would like to see the water added, though; without that context, she looks a bit like a pregnant astronaut floating in orbit.

Yes, water gives context. Also the subtle shading to suggest deeper water toward the bottom is nice, more like real water than a uniform tone.

Yep, I tried to convey the depth and positioning, despite the fact that it appears like Alice is glowing but whatever, pregnancy pun.
