Hey gang, first I want to say I am very pleased with this one, second, I also did this in just two days. I mean, I started it on like Thursday but only the rough outline then I did the bulk of the work yesterday and today, so that's impressive for me since I usually only work on a drawing for no more than 4 hours a day unless I am really feeling it (like I was today).Anyways, this is Alice Mendoza/Aquatica, my new superheroine, striking a Jojo pose and hurling streams of water around in her a whirling, aggressive, and graceful manner. Originally I was going to have her looking down at the viewer but I decided to have her eyes up, just made her look a little different. As per the running gag I am attempting to create, Alice's superheroine shirt, much like her work shirt, slips up in response to her powerful movements lol. Let me know what you guys think about this. Do you think it's dark enough? I could do MORE shading, if I had to. I did very little lighting in this one. Anyways, yeah, comment, fav, whatever. Thanks.
*EDIT* I darkened the lines around her watery waves and redid some of her own lines. Nothing major.

Hey, pic looks amazing! Just one minor thing if I can add (it's something I always do and gotta correct everytime), the torso looks a bit too long between the breasts and neck o:
Just that. Otherwise, really neat pic

Hm, I don't see it but maybe the necklace is distorting the sense of space. The necklace is meant to make her upper chest less empty and prevent it from being a single solid block of color, in the event of a colored drawing. Though don't get me wrong, that is a legitimate thing to bring up because I usually worry about those little nuances with anatomy. Which is why I don't see it probably, since I stressed over such things. Like, take her hips, hips SHOULD go out further than the shoulders but she's striking an exaggerated Jojo-esque pose, or more accurately, an Italian runway model pose, so like, I wanted to convey her body as a kinda of exaggerated, twisted, yet uniform beauty. If that makes sense at all. Really getting into these exaggerated, sexually charged, physically demanding, odd poses. Like, I don't want her to look buff but I want her to look strong.

Ever since I discovered inking I'm always a fan of darker stronger lines but your style seems to work around light touches a small but consistent details.

Yeah, see, my problem is, well, look at her boots. It is hard to lay down a consistent wall of graphite with the softer tones. Here is an example of layering I did, kinda like what I do with hair. The problem there is that it can take fucking forever and I learned to avoid hurting my hand. See, the reason why I rarely do a colored pencil drawing, and tend to save my energy for them is because they physically hurt. My hand has to press so hard to get the perfect color that I can either take days to finish it, or take some pain pills and power through. My graphite drawings are peaceful and refined while my colored pencil drawings a risk, a gamble, though exceptionally rewarding and fun. For every drawing I do, I see the failure and the potential for pain first...thus my style is highly refined yet, static in its applications. I mean to do a colored pencil drawing soon, something for Alice or even a new Mira. Or maybe just something simple. Ugh, art is hard lol.

Well all artists suffer. It's what we do. ^_^ I understand though. Sometimes powering through a piece is more trouble than its worth believe me I know.

Yeah, plus, I was on such a huge kick with the colored pencils for a while there, then I switched to marker. I should do something soon.

You are welcome. What would she do if anyone was to hurt her baby though?

Well, she can project ice and water, she could make a ice shield around her belly I suppose lol.
